San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced Wednesday that 18 people were charged with unlawful assembly and resisting an officer after an unpermitted block party during Pride weekend.
Police in riot gear had stormed a so-called “Stud Alley” block party on June 27 in a chaotic scene that led to 20 arrests. Stud Alley, an unauthorized annual block party held in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood during Pride weekend, has taken place for six years. The event drew hundreds last year, but police monitored the party then rather than shutting it down, KQED reported.
But this year, the organizers said they wouldn’t host an event but reminded people that “every alley is Stud Alley.”

I’m gonna pass on that. I once made the mistake of googling videos of Folsom Street Fair. It was the most depraved imagery I’ve ever seen. San Francisco is truly a modern Sodom.
