Did Carlson inadvertently encourage Iran to assassinate Trump, make Vance president? -
JPOST ^ | Jul 22, 2026

Carlson is effectively telling Iran: The man who would replace Trump does not support this war and would not have taken these actions. What conclusion does he expect Iran to draw from that?

[What did Carlson say about Vance? ➤ Why is Carlson's statement dangerous? ➤ Did Tucker Carlson undermine Trump's deterrence? ➤ What was Trump's warning to Iran? ➤]

By Duvi Honig. July 22, 2026. Tucker Carlson says that if JD Vance were president, the United States would not be at war with Iran.

He missed the most critical point: We might instead be facing a nuclear Iran.

Carlson speaks as though the only choice was war or peace. It was not. The choice was whether America would confront Iran’s nuclear program before it became unstoppable – or leave Israel, the United States, and the entire Middle East to live under the shadow of a nuclear-armed Iranian regime.

Saying that if Vance were president would have kept us out of the war sounds attractive. Nobody wants war. But what would he have done about Iran’s nuclear program? What would have replaced military action? Another agreement? Another inspection process? Another deadline?

Tucker has gone off the deep end but the answer to this is no.

The Iranians are well aware of how the US Government works. They don’t need to be goaded to comprehend the line of succession.

They also know to wait for the next election cycle.

I think Vance is the process of screwing the pooch on ever being POTUS.

I really think this headline should include the full name of Tucker Carlson.

When first reading the headline I had no idea of who ‘Carlson’ was. I’m probably not alone in that one. Seems unprofessional of the writer to think we all immediately know who Carlson is as if there is only one Carlson in the world or if we don’t we are not ‘in the loop’ or something.

I wonder what Carlson would have said if Iran nuked some country. Would he blame Trump for not stopping it from happening?

inadvertently?
how would they know that?
people usually intend (or are held in law to have intended) the foreseeable consequences of their acts

to give him credit, he’s undoubtably imho and those of many....making a ton of money from Qatar and other anti-American sources today. And he’s done well for himself especially in light of his background... which while it included some clear advantages also encompassed this:

“He then attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. At the end of four years, he had achieved only a 1.9 GPA and failed to graduate with his class.[65][36] He graduated in absentia with the class of 1992.[66][67] Carlson’s Trinity yearbook describes him as a member of the “Dan White Society”, an apparent reference to the American political assassin who murdered San Francisco mayor George Moscone and supervisor Harvey Milk.[68][69][70] After college, Carlson tried to join the Central Intelligence Agency, but his application was denied, after which he decided to pursue a career in journalism with the encouragement of his father, who advised him that “they’ll take anybody”.[41][71]

Mullahs don’t have a clue who Tucker is... dream on idiots. Iran’s been saying ‘Death to Israel and Death to American for almost 50 years. Iran’s been evil for decades.

Do you think they murdered 40,000 of their own citizens a while back become some American said something the liked or didn’t like? That’s insane.

Well Carlson is right and if Vance was President Iran would have a nuclear bomb.

In 1992, Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Iran was three to five years away from being able to produce a nuclear weapon.

In August of 2005, US intelligence predicted that Iran could have the key ingredients for a nuclear weapon by 2015

On September 27, 2012, Benjamin Netanyahu told the General Assembly at the U.N. that Iran was on the cusp of having a nuclear weapon.

Yep. Distributism is not going to go over with Republican voters. Not to mention anti semitism.

I’m leaning towards Rubio, myself. He has been a sterling SOS. Problem is, he is a recipient of birthright citizenship. What happens if that becomes illegal? If it were made retroactive, where would that leave him?

Oh yeah. Iranians have been quoting before. Who do you think his recent audience rise were? Not here, but in the Middle East.

Yep. And if JD is pushing distributism he needs to switch back and run as a Democrat where I suspect he would feel more comfortable.

I’d say the decapitation strike probably gave Iran the idea more than a podcaster.

Pure Bullshat. You just hate Vance because your allegiances are elsewhere.

You OBVIOUSLY have an agenda because every time you post something it has to do with this. Who pays you?
