The South Carolina State Election Commission (SEC) has completed its review of South Carolina election law regarding voter eligibility for the August 11 Special Republican Primary.
Based on that review, voters who participated in the June Democratic Primary are not eligible to vote in the August 11 Special Republican Primary. Voters who participated in the June Republican Primary, or who did not vote in either party's June primary, are eligible to vote in the August 11 Special Republican Primary.
The Commission's determination is based on the requirements of South Carolina election law governing voter participation in political party primaries.

It just matters more.
good news...that's about 375K democrat voters who won't be able to meddle in the August special primary.
Remember that it was cross-over Democrats that gave Trump the victory in Republican Primaries in states like PA.
Historically it was cross over Republicans who defeated Sen Al the Pal Dixon in IL. And then 6 years later it was cross over anti-Dixon Democrats who returned the favor and voted for Republican Peter Fitzgerald.
People who have a pattern of cross-over are sometimes called “independent” although they are far from that.
They are declaring this a Continuation of the June 9 primary, not a new primary. The June 9 Republican Primary for Senator has been deemed null and void, and the replacement primary August 11 is a continuation. Nobody who voted in the Democrat primary can participate. Annie Andrews’ crew cannot infiltrate.
Seems consistent with Virginia. An voter can only participate in one party’s primary process. The issue is if any verifies if someone participates in the primaries of both parties.
Why are States even involved in primaries? That should be the parties’ responsibilities!
