Elon Musk is set to meet Rupert Lowe, the MP leading a rival right-wing party to Reform UK, after the tech billionaire fell out with Nigel Farage.
Lowe said he would meet the tech billionaire on Sunday as part of a trip to the US, which has included visits to Texas and Washington.
The MP appeared in a two-hour interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, one of the world’s most popular podcasts.
Lowe split from Farage early last year after Reform UK accused him of bullying, which he denies.
Restore Britain was founded by Lowe soon after. A candidate for the party stood against Reform UK in the Makerfield by-election last month, pushing the Conservatives into fourth by receiving 6.8 per cent of the vote.
Musk, the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, and the owner of the social media platform X, has called Lowe’s party the “last and only hope” for Britain.
Farage had previously met Musk at Mar-a-Lago in Florida for an hour-long meeting and began “open negotiations” about a donation.
But the tech entrepreneur switched his endorsement to Lowe after falling out with Farage in January 2025 over Musk’s support for Tommy Robinson, the far-right activist.
“We are going to see Elon on Sunday, so he’s been an incredible support for us,” Lowe told Joe Rogan’s podcast, released on Wednesday.
He added: “Thanks to Elon Musk and what he did with X, I think he has released free speech. I think he has returned some sort of semblance of people’s ability to debate without being bullied by a monopoly like the BBC.”
