A British MP has demanded an "immediate stop" to a controversial plan to house dozens of asylum seekers in a small English village.
The housing development in the Shropshire village of Stoke Heath in England’s west is poised to house a total of 83 asylum seekers, The Sun has reported.
The newly built homes are worth around £250,000, equivalent to just over A$480,000.
Following reporting on the matter, the British Home Office has said asylum seekers should not be housed in newly built homes.
Conservative MP Mark Pritchard, who represents the constituency where the development is located, has called for the Labour government to halt any placements of asylum seekers in the village.
"The Home Secretary needs to make an urgent public statement confirming Stoke Heath new-build houses will no longer be used to house asylum seekers & announce the government is putting an immediate stop in placing additional asylum seekers into Stoke Heath," he wrote in a post on X on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, one asylum seeker, 40-year-old Muhammad Nadeem from Pakistan, had already moved into one of the properties with his family.
He told The Sun that two people, including one wearing a mask, had visited their home.

The current British Home Secretary is Shabana Mahmood. She is a devout Muslim and makes no secret about it.
Good luck with your request, MP Pritchard. More likely you’ll be thrown in jail than your request be granted.

So they are going to give an “asylum seeker” a $480,000 house. Kind of leaves you speechless.
They are sticking Islamic African trash in all the small Scottish villages because it just isn’t fair there are so many native Scots in Scottish villages.

I actually thought about that, too. But the British Deep State is way ahead of us. They have made sure the native population is disarmed. Even pepper spray is illegal to possess in the UK!
The last hope for Britain is with the British Army. It’s either a military coup or a long and painful slide into chaotic third-world status.
A bold monarch would lead that coup. But Charles would certainly tell the Army to stand down instead. And William? Probably the same.
