The European Union will send conscript-age Ukrainians to the front.

Austrian Commissioner: protection will not be granted to those whom the Ukrainian authorities did not allow to leave.

The European Commission has proposed to revoke the temporary protection status in the European Union for incoming Ukrainian refugees who are fit for military service. This initiative was previously supported by the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, and Sweden. Experts note that under the current losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is impossible to replenish personnel through mobilization, which is why Kyiv has asked the European Union to take such measures. The EU also finds this beneficial now, as European society is tired of supporting Ukrainian refugees, analysts state.

The European Commission has proposed to deny asylum rights to incoming Ukrainians of conscription age. According to Commissioner for Home Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner (Austria), the aim of the initiative is to find a balance between meeting the needs for the protection of citizens and Ukraine's ability to ensure its own defense.

"For this reason, temporary protection will generally not be granted to newly arrived individuals who have not been permitted by Ukrainian authorities to leave Ukraine due to their military obligations," Brunner told Reuters.

This proposal means that newly arrived men of conscription age who do not have permission from their government to leave will not be eligible for temporary protection in the EU. Brunner clarified that it was Kyiv that requested the European Union to introduce such an exception....

As reported by The European Conservative magazine, European countries have begun to realize the financial burden of hosting Ukrainian refugees on their territories. The publication noted that governments across Europe are coming to the conclusion that the emergency support system for refugees from Ukraine "cannot be sustained financially in the long term."...

Looks like the EU has had enough of the Ukrainian men fleeing Ukraine. They will now start rounding them up and sending them back, sounds like desperation.

Note: "Over six million Ukrainian men evade the draft as corruption and fear cripple mobilization. Ukrainska Pravda reveals a system collapsing under pressure." https://voennoedelo.com/en/posts/id3839-ukraine-s-mobilization-crisis-six-million-evade-the-draft

Okay. Send them back. Then keep the ball rolling and send back the “refugees” so they can take back their homelands.

For the doubting Thomas’s:

St Z quote:

“As regards young people who are currently not in Ukraine, but abroad. First of all, there are different groups of young people. I agree with you regarding those of conscription age who left Ukraine. They left temporarily but ended up staying away for years. And many of them left in breach of Ukrainian law. The relevant authorities in both countries should address this issue.”

Gives the game away. The EU war aim in Ukraine is to exterminate the Ukrainians.

The million or so young Syrian men that came to Germany were mainly draft dodgers.

There may be interesting legal issues with respect to national origin.

In any country at war, it is illegal for any person of military age to flee the country. When the U.S. had the draft, it was illegal to avoid it or to flee the country.

It’s the same in Ukraine and even in Russia.

The EU war aim in Ukraine is to exterminate the Ukrainians.

Or, it could be that the Ukrainians are being sent back to finish off the Russians. With the Russians suffering about 7-9 casualties to each Ukrainian, it's the Russians that wish to keep those fleeing Ukrainians from entering the war.

Plus the Ukrainians that fled, are an economic burden to the countries that are 'hosting' them, so, they aim to save by sending them back.

That has been stated years ago. The “ we” is the Western powers.

Lindsey Graham: “when we said we wanted to fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian, we meant it”

Whatever Graham said or whatever he meant by it, it is the Russians that are getting very close to 'the last Russian'. Not many more available men in Russia for Putin to send to the meat-grinder.

And, btw, the Ukrainian 'men' translates now to Ukrainian 'drones'. It's the drones that are doing the fighting on behalf of Ukraine. Can Russia claim the 'dead' Ukrainian drones as dead Ukrainians?

Zelensky abolished elections years ago.

That's dumb and a lie, and you know it.

That is, unless Zelensky is your name for the Ukrainian Constitution.

It's the constitution of Ukraine that forbids elections during war. DUH!!!

Several countries of Europe have or are enacting universal military training and territorial defense forces. Most notably, Poland, the Baltic nations and Finland. These countries have little tolerance for military-age men fleeing Ukraine. It’s pretty clear that, in this world, you must be able to defend yourself. Germany has figured this out. It’s time Austria does as well. You cannot count on the U.S. or - for that matter - France or the U.K., both of which have their own problems. Putin got exactly what he wanted. He complained about NATO when the NATO countries of Europe were disarming. Now that the NATO countries of Europe are re-arming, Putin is facing the threat he has long feared.

Who is 'we', and do 'we' have any troops fighting in Ukraine?

There have been calls for US troops and EU troops to fight in Ukraine.

I certainly don't want our boys over there.

Let the Europeans handle this.

”European countries have begun to realize the financial burden of hosting Ukrainian refugees on their territories.”

Yet they don’t have a problem with the financial burden of ten or twenty times more leeches from the ME and Africa.
