Montreal police say three people are dead after a shooting in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood: a police officer, a civilian and a suspect.
Police say they were shot at by a lone suspect after being called to 6939 Décarie Boulevard.
The emergency alert issued earlier in connection with an armed and dangerous suspect has been lifted.

Seriously they’ve gone off the rails up there in The Great White North. I mean around the bend nuts. For all their preening and puffing their chests out about how “We’re Not America!’’ and their ‘’free health care, eh?!’’ the country is a dystopian nightmare that every swinging dick of a Canadian who can is running out of the place and coming here.
The Brits are fleeing the UK as well. Every White Briton who can come here is doing so. The World Cup has opened eyes to America’s bounty, beauty and freedoms. In all my 70 years in America I never thought I’d see something like this. A country once so hated is now THE place people want to come to. I think Trump has single handedly created a third Great European Migration in our life time.

What was she supposed to do? She is in a firefight with a shooter who just killed her colleague, and while she is looking for the perp the civillian unexpectedly comes up immediately behind her. Of course she shoots. I don’t think this has anything to do with her panicking.
There is something to that.
But when the actual shooter came into view, she ran away.
Now it is rifle vs pistol, so I can see the incentive.
But in Canada, civilians are NOT allowed to be armed and have to depend on police.
If they demand a monopoly on force and then run away, frankly, I want to be able to buy and carry what I want...
