Andy Burnham’s decisive victory “
Yeah decisive with 35% of the vote. Please. I don’t care how many ways it split. If Reform or Restore won with 35 all these a-hole so called news outlet would not be calling it decisive that’s for damn sure.
According to the article, Burnham won with 55% of the vote. That’s pretty impressive.
It’s also pretty sad. I would have thought British voters were tired of Labour’s wrecking of the country.
Someone on another thread mentioned that Burnham picked Makerfield for a very specific reason. The place is evidently well-off, and isolated from most of Starmer’s miserable actions.
Tough talking wanker to lead insignificant shitehole. Film at 11.
Correct - 55% - 20 points higher than the nearest opponent. Impressive, but also very sad as you said.
I thought l read it was 35, if it was 55 that is depressing and proof positive that England is as dead as 8 tracks. England is in ruins everyone except the lunatic fringe should have a anyone but Labour attitude but apparently not.
But I haven't heard that Starmer is willing to resign yet. If his party decides to have a "vote of no confidence", he can call a snap election early (Three years remaining by Labour Party).
It's unlikely that Nigel Farage will win enough seats to form a governing coalition but Labour will lose many of their seats in this particular scenario.
> I thought l read it was 35… <
It was Reform candidate who won 35% of the vote.
But don’t blame yourself. That Newsweek article was a confusing jumble of ads and more ads. It was not an easy read at all. A mess, actually.
