US attorney opens investigations into California's elections, sends prosecutor to LA vote center

The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles said Friday it had opened “multiple election fraud investigations” related to California's elections and sent a prosecutor to the county's vote-counting center.

The developments came a day after President Donald Trump made baseless claims of mass fraud in California's drawn-out vote count from Tuesday's primary. Late-tallied Democratic-leaning mail ballots were continuing to eat into the vote totals for the president's preferred candidates for governor and Los Angeles mayor.

The announcement by U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, Trump's appointee as the top federal prosecutor in Los Angeles, and the visit to Los Angeles County's ballot tabulation center marked an escalation in the president's campaign against the Democratic-dominated state, whose notoriously prolonged vote count has been a magnet for election conspiracy theories. Trump weighed in again Friday while participating in a roundtable discussion in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, claiming without evidence that Democrats were rigging the election.

“You look at what’s happening — it’s getting tighter and tighter and tighter,” he said. “And the people who were supposed to win, bad things are happening. It’s a crooked state.”

Trump has often said that changes to vote totals as late ballots are counted are a sign of fraud, when they're merely a reflection of more ballots being counted.

On Thursday, Trump said his Department of Justice was investigating the California count. By Friday morning, Essayli posted on X about ongoing investigations without providing details, saying only that California’s elections have “serious structural vulnerabilities.”

It all depends if the ballots were lawfully cast, or just fraudulent ballots added to the mix after election day.

President Donald Trump made baseless claims of mass fraud

How the hell do they know the claims are baseless? Is it just because Trump said it that we have to assume it is untrue?

Welker “my time is more important han your time” says he agreed to a nother interview, as there is “no evidence of the current Ca elevtion fraud he claimed. He has to be ready to press this very hard, it’s the only way most of the worlsd will see it.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2026/06/07/california-u-s-attorney-office-pretends-not-to-know-specifics-or-origin-of-california-voter-fraud/#more-284123

JAN 2017 – California officials have instructed DMV data programmers to remove the internal coding flags for the drivers’ licenses of illegal aliens in California.

As you might be aware, California passed a law known as AB60 authorizing illegal aliens to receive drivers’ licenses throughout the state. Within the administrative functions of the state DMV database a designation code known as “AB60 code” was created to flag those specific licenses as containing “Federal Limits Apply”.

We have confirmation from a top-level IT source, state officials instructed programmers to immediately remove AB60 administrative coding. The removed code in question is an administrative function for identifying the registered DL holder as an “undocumented person” or illegal alien holder within the DMV database.

The established computer flag allows an administrator or DMV or State official to filter the massive database of California Driver’s License holders and identify just those who are ‘undocumented’.

The removal of the “flag” via deletion of the program code, means the database cannot be easily filtered to show only illegals who received those Drivers licenses, and/or generate a list of those license recipients.

According to the IT source the motive for the code/flag removal appears to be an effort hide data and curtail any tool useful in any voter fraud investigation. Several additional aspects lead to this conclusion including California hiring former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to lead the fight against the Trump administration.

Additionally, the State Driver’s License process via the State DMV has an on-line link to the Secretary of State office in order for California residents to register to vote. As a specific function of the programming code within the SoS system, and as a direct outcome of previous instructions, all voter registrations proceed through the registration process, even if the user “forgets” to check the box that says they are a citizen.

The internal database coding established by the Secretary of State IT department which synergizes with the State Department of Motor Vehicles, allows and approves voter registration when the designation box “U.S. Citizen” is left blank.

It is the combination of this specific programming structure, the events and instructions of the past 48 hours, in combination with the outcome of the U.S. election and new Trump administration saying they will launch a voter fraud investigation, which leads the IT source to the conclusion there is an effort underway within California to hide the evidence of “Illegal Voting” via the use of “State Issued Drivers Licenses” and the willful blindness from the Secretary of State.

No alternate explanation from within the California DMV Headquarters has been offered for why they are instructing IT data programmers to remove the AB60 coding from the Driver’s License system.

If it takes more than 2 days to go from an LA post office to an LA address, the USPS needs to be shut down.

37 days!?!?! My Massie!

One pattern to look at is that the media predicts the possibility, weeks before an election, of a certain candidate or issue losing big on election night but will make a stunning comeback when every vote is counted days or weeks later.

The numbers don't add up.

Raman's city council district population is approximately 272,000 people. That includes children, non-citizens, and non-voters, yielding perhaps 120,000–140,000 registered voters.

Raman currently has 177,102 votes citywide. Where are these votes coming from?

Raman had no real presence on any pre-election polls, she performed poorly in all the televised debates, has run only a district-level campaign, but she's the only person in a position to keep Pratt off the November ballot.

Bass has a city-wide campaign machine, has name recognition, and is the incumbent.

Raman's late-count vote is surging and Bass has flatlined. After Tuesday night's first counts, Raman was +1.3% on Wednesday, +2.6% on Thursday, and +5.2% on Saturday.

Bass had 37% on election night. On Wednesday she had 34.78%. On Thursday she had 35%, and on Saturday she had 34.8%.

If the mail-in ballots are being counted in the order they come in, one would expect a uniform pattern that continues from day to day, but that's not what we're seeing.

The fact that the third place person - and nobody else - is getting the late surge really smells rotten.

Really, all you have to know about elections in California is that when voters in the city of Huntington Beach passed a charter amendment to enable the city to require voter ID in local elections, the state sued to block it and then passed a state law prohibiting voter ID.

You notice that they are counting ballots, not votes. I hate AP and their baseless claims that Trump is making baseless claims about fraud. The fact that numbers can trend differently after Election Day in defiance of any statistical probability is a basis of his claims. AP is not credible as a news source and nobody should quote them.

Never heard of Raman until maybe three days ago.

I doubt that anyone in LA have heard of her.

Anyway, did we catch anyone in LA commit a crime regarding this particular election?

That is the only thing that matters.

Otherwise, this election is legitimate (even though it is shady).

Usually, it's the top candidates who benefit from late counting.

It's unusual to see such surgical precision that the third-place candidate - and nobody else - is getting the vote surge from extended counting.

I would have expected Bass to get the votes by the LA voters to keep her in office, not some nobody that was a distant third with election day voters.

Correct. But nothing is "illegal" about it.

Ballot harvesting is legal in California so that gives them plenty of room to maneuver.

As long as they're smart about it, no one is going to catch them in the act.

Here is the question.

If ballot harvesting is legal, then one would expect those ballots to have been dropped off before the end of voting on June 2. Therefore, the harvested ballots would have been inserted into the system before any result tallies were known.

Is it the contention that Raman, and only Raman, had harvested ballots added before the election as a scheme to boost her, because officials assumed that Bass would naturally have received enough ballots to make it to the general election?

Are you suggesting that the proper interpretation is that they knew that Raman would end up in third place and therefore harvested ballots just for her so that the mail-in counts would appear to surge just her to overcome Pratt?

In California, they have until June 9 (7 days after Election Day).
