LA firefighters continue to rage against Karen Bass and City Hall, and with valid reason. Not only did the mayor try to shift blame from herself to the LA Fire Department in the wake of last year’s devastating Palisades Fire, but for years, she and the City Council have scrimped on fire safety.
Today, LA firefighters lament heavy workloads –– with some shifts stretching up to 48 hours –– along with delayed and missed paychecks, busted equipment and declining emergency response times.
They’re so exasperated that fire crews have gathered signatures for a sales-tax-hike initiative geared to make the November ballot.

more like utter bone deep clueless incompetence. The morons in charge (representing even dumber morons who voted for them) weren’t even aware of the danger. Their primary mission was DEI hiring putting some retard who checked to right boxes in a position with lots of optics and a fat salary. And then calling it “historic” a random bum from one of the many feces filled homeless camps would have performed as well.
Why don’t the firefighters demand cuts, the saving going to fund whatever the FD needs?
Note to any firefighters calling for the tax hike: You lot are no better than Bass.

Karen Bass is the perfect example of the Peter Principle. A rank and file lockstep party apparatchik who gets elevated to an executive position, and fails. Not a surprise. She is not a leader she works best when the real bosses tell her what to do.
As for the drained reservoir - haven’t these people heard of valve shutoffs? They claim they drained the reservoir because a tear in the cover may have let contaminants leak into the drinking water. OK, fair enough. But why drain it? Keep the water for, oh, I dunno... FIRES?!? Just shut the valves so it doesn’t flow into people’s homes, but remains available to fill fire hydrants or for helicopters and water trucks to fetch. Did they not build it with valves? Hard to believe. Did they not build it with valves to flow one or another direction (or both)?
All these people who run Los Angeles are complete morons. All of them need to be voted out from the County Commissioners to the City Council to the Mayor - maybe even the Sheriff. Put in someone, anyone, with common sense. Even with no experience at least they will try and not sit on their laurels and use their connections, fealty and loyalty for self-elevation. These types of apparatchiks are destroying everything.
There ya go. That oughta do it. Raise more money for Karen Bass and her Castro Commie friends to waste and misdirect.
