Maricopa County OKs early ballot sites amid legal dispute

(The Center Square) - The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution outlining the locations of drop boxes for the upcoming early voting period without consulting Recorder Justin Heap.

The board approved the resolution while it continues to deal with an ongoing lawsuit with Heap about who runs specific election functions.

In April, a judge ruled in favor of Heap, saying the board members need to hand over control of specific election functions to his office.

The board sought a stay of the motion, but the Arizona Superior Court denied it. The board announced it will appeal the lower court’s decision.

“Our job is to deliver secure, accurate and stable elections for Maricopa County voters. That takes careful planning and steady leadership, not rushed decisions driven by uncertain court rulings,” Board of Supervisors Chair Kate Brophy McGee said in a statement to The Center Square.

The problem arose when the board put forth a resolution about locations without collaborating with Heap, he said.

Stewart says he had a discussion with Heap about the locations and said he was fine with them but just wanted to be able to sign off on them.

If the board had gone to Heap and discussed the proposed drop-box ballot locations and procedures, none of this would have happened, and the item would have gone to the consent agenda, he said.

Maricopa Democrats accidentally let Recorder Justin Heap be elected. I'm not sure what happened. IMHO, Maybe they had so much confidence in their guy winning that they didn't bother to cook the election books. By the time they realized voters were on to them and were electing a conservative in that position, it was too late to do anything. Now they are trying to take away all Heap's authority and are making decisions that belong to him.

“Do the drop boxes come with the fake democrat ballots already in them?”

I’m certain they try to make sure there are enough fake ballots to match the fake votes already entered into the fake system.

Actually, they do.

I was a poll watcher in the 2022 election .

I got there precisely at the 5:30 appointed time to witness and verify the ballot boxes being empty but they were already locked.

Later that day, I overheard one of the poll workers make the off comment that that the ballot boxes for both hand delivered mail in ballots and Election Day ballots “had come pre loaded” .

Contacted the Republican elections legal team to report this but they were task saturated dealing with more important vote fraud did not have the band width to respond . I took video and very careful totals of the number of voters who showed up to vote and who delivered mail in ballots so they could be cross checked with the final tallies but I never heard anything back about it.

I seem to recall that I checked the vote tallies from that precinct and they did tote with my tally of actual votes cast for the same day totals and the I seem to recall that the same day mail in ballot turn in totals were not counted or tracked at all - they were sent to a mail in vote processing center with no chain of custody.
