One of the largest Pride festivals in the country has been canceled hours before it was set to begin and organizers are slamming the city for the decision, saying it sends the “wrong message” at a critical time for the LGBTQ community.
The 42nd annual Long Beach Pride Festival was set to kick off on Friday night, with several day-long events planned on Saturday through Sunday with DJ’s, music, and live performances, drag show, and a ball, per the website. Typically the 3-day-long festival draws up to 80,000 attendees.
In a statement on Friday from the city, officials said that the weekend-long festival — known as the third-largest Pride celebration in the state — was being canceled “as sufficient information to safely permit the event has not been made available by the event organizers.”

What are the islamic sleeper cells going to think about such an event?
Maybe someone realized what the look of these bacchanals does to the movement.
They can celebrate it more privately, like at the Terrace Theater mentioned in the article. I think Long Beach is lucky that crowd didn’t complete the paperwork. Who needs to see all this in the streets.

The videos I have seen of the festival in San Francisco were filthy and disgusting. I can’t even begin to describe the public degeneracy.

The City of Long Beach did not cancel Pride. The cancelled one event that is managed by a private orgaization/
The city actually manages and funds the parade.

First these week-end long events trash the credibility of the democrat party - they can’t lie their way out of what’s happening when there’s film...
It’s easy for our side to snap pictures and run ads of these people half naked dry humping each other in front of children. Voters don’t like that... This community went from ‘we are proud’ to ‘we’re giving he finger to all traditional American families’.
Not enough Republicans in that area to elect a dog catcher no less shut down these events.

People living in the Race area can request vouchers to pay for temporary relocation during the 3-4 day event. It's my understanding that the vouchers cover hotel and a stipend for food. This was dictated to be paid for by the race promoter many years ago.
Some friends of mine live on Ocean Blvd. in the staging area of the Pride parade. They witnessed men engaging in anal and oral sex on the front lawn of their house.
They went to the City Council to ask for the same voucher consideration. The were shouted down, cursed at and insulted ("Coconut was one word used for the wife from Columbia). They were mocked because they have money and can afford to go to a hotel
They did not even get a vote. One city worker pulled them aside and told them: "You can't fight the gay mafia in this town. Be thankful you can afford to get out of town for the weekend.
Queers and other assorted human debris displaying how proud they are of their Godlessness.
AIDs, monkeypox, and the latest: hantavirus. Maybe ebola, too.
