Area 51 experienced at least 17 earthquakes in a single day this week, with stumped experts admitting the behavior is highly “unusual.”
The secretive Nevada Air Force base, long associated with reports of UFOs, was hit by comparatively shallow quakes, prompting conspiracy theories about nuclear testing.
The cluster of earthquakes ranged in magnitude from 2.5 to 4.4 and struck near the base, which is about 80 miles from Las Vegas, according to US Geological Survey (USGS) data.
The first, most powerful quake, struck 2.5 miles below ground just after 3 p.m. Wednesday local time, followed by more than a dozen smaller tremors.
Geophysicist Stefan Burns claimed the activity was in “an unusual place to get an earthquake,” and highlighted how shallow it was in a video on X.
He added that the unusual characteristics made it “worth discussing in the context of ‘if this is a covert underground nuclear test.'”

They’re blowin’ up the underground bunkers where the UFOs are kept.
2.5 miles below ground?
Wasn’t this a X-Files episode?
Considering the secrecy surrounding Groom Lake and the aircraft testing that goes on there, these earthquakes may be a cover story.
I suspect Global Warming is to blame. Or Climate Change along with some Climate Disruption.
Trump’s Fault.
Thank you for your attention to this matter...
Most likely.

The only safe place to test the anti-matter core of the captured Vulcan warp engine is 2.5 kilometers underground.
That should be "the United States Air Force base, located in Nevada". Nevada doesn't have an air force.
Also, a military base cannot be secretive. The people who work there or the operations conducted there can be secretive, but not "the base" itself. Better to say, "The United States Air Force base, located in Nevada, known for it's secret operations" or something like that.
People are such lazy writers these days, even (especially) those who do so for a living. I blame poor education and constant texting and general NGAS attitudes.
Earthquakes are hardly unusual in the Basin and Range Province. Anyway, better a lot of small quakes than one big one.
