Only a few short years ago, most of us would have deemed it unthinkable that an angry mob would turn out to impede the arrest of a career criminal with arrests for assault and drug-dealing in his rap sheet. But now, today, if that career criminal is an illegal alien, and if it is Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) that is doing the arresting, it seems that in any major city we can expect to see an angry mob show up to defend the criminal.
The latest example comes to us from Brooklyn, New York, where a riot broke out over the arrest of one Chidozie Wilson Okeke, a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria.
ICE agents dragged a man out of a hospital in New York City Saturday night ... all while chaos broke out in the streets outside due to a mob of livid protesters.

Now, here's the thing: Okeke wasn't arrested at the hospital.
Last night, @ICEgov conducted a targeted enforcement operation in Brooklyn that resulted in the arrest of Chidozie Wilson Okeke, a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria with previous arrests for ASSAULT AND CRIMINAL DRUG POSSESSION.
During his arrest, Okeke refused to comply with officers’ lawful commands to exit the vehicle and weaponized his vehicle to attempt to hit ICE officers. Okeke became physically combative attempting to punch and elbow ICE officers. Our officers followed their training and used the minimum amount of force necessary to make the arrest.After his arrest, Okeke requested medical assistance, so ICE officers escorted him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for a medical evaluation. Okeke remained non-compliant during the medical evaluation throwing himself to the floor and screaming. The medical staff cleared him.
During the medical evaluation, a significant crowd of anti-ICE agitators gathered at the hospital and became violent. The protestors damaged several ICE vehicles and assaulted ICE officers, resulting in minor injuries to the officers. Assaulting law enforcement is a felony and crime

Officers from the New York Police Department responded to the scene and arrested several rioters.
The question is, what will happen to the rioters? What penalty will they face for interfering with federal law enforcement in the legal conduct of their duties? In New York, it's a safe bet that the answer will be "little or nothing." As for Okeke, he's in federal custody, and he will presumably be repatriated once any federal charges he faces are resolved.

What in the world are these people's priorities? Chidozie Wilson Okeke is a criminal, and not just due to his being in the United States illegally. Even setting his being an illegal alien aside, in what way has a person like Okeke ever contributed to the United States, to our culture, our economy, our way of life, our society, by his presence here? He's a career criminal. He has a rap sheet. The only good thing about his being an illegal alien, on top of all that, is that he can be dealt with quickly by sending him back to where he came from.
Meanwhile, ICE and DHS still have to deal with angry mobs, and it seems no illegal alien criminal is so nasty, so odious, so greedy, mean, and stupid, that these anti-ICE mobs, fueled by Stage IV Trump Derangement Syndrome, won't show up to protect them.

I realize that this is a brave new world, but are there felonies that aren't crimes? I though felony was a type of crime, not a separate thing onto itself.
For a while, I could go into Walmart, Ross and other stores and never heard Spanish. Now it is everywhere and back to what it was. Again. Sometimes, I never even hear English in those stores.

Same here. But the real threat is with the Muslims. I’m starting to see them more and more of them in my old mill town.

I'll bet you dollars for donuts that all of the arrested rioters are both paid, and have priors arrests for similar behavior.
When I visit family in Massachusetts and go to a Walmart...ALL announcemets over the overhead speakers are in Spanish. No English.
