And, no surprise, the NGOs now want more of your hard-earned dollars.
Nonprofit organizations like CARECEN demand millions in local taxpayer dollars not to help workers find jobs, but to shield illegal aliens from lawful federal enforcement by ICE.

Simple model, no illegals, no NGO…..
I REFUSE TO SHOP HOME DEPOT FOR ALL THESE REASONS.
WOULD DRIVE MANY MILES TO AVOID.
VERY GLAD I BOLTED SO CALIF IN 1993.
Even simpler…no new immigration, no new illegals.

This is a shame, ‘cause day laborers are not all illegals. All such places, Loew/Menards/HDepot ought to vet such folks — it will draw business to their stores. Just post a bulletin board in the store.
A few years back we needed some yardwork, too much for my old back. Cruised a HDepot and found a 20-something white guy eager to make a few bucks. He was GREAT!
He also noted that the reason we spotted him off to the side of the parking lot was that the guy in charge of all the illegals made it quite clear that if he tried to get work thru his group he’d not be able to work anywhere.
