The number of immigrants residing in the European Union climbed to a record high of 64.2 million in 2025, up about 2.1 million from a year earlier, according to a report published on Wednesday by the Centre for Research and Analysis on Migration at RFBerlin.
The figure compares with 40 million in 2010, the report said, citing Eurostat and U.N. Refugee Agency data.
Germany remained the bloc's biggest host of foreign-born people at nearly 18 million, 72% of them of working age, while Spain posted the fastest recent growth, adding about 700,000 to bring its foreign-born population to 9.5 million.
"Germany remains the main destination for migrants in Europe, both in absolute terms and, to a significant extent, relative to its population," said Tommaso Frattini, one of the authors of the report.
The study said migration patterns were uneven across the bloc, with Luxembourg, Malta and Cyprus facing higher shares of immigrants relative to their population size.
Asylum claims were also concentrated in certain countries, with Spain, Italy, France and Germany accounting for nearly three-quarters of all applications. Germany hosted the largest number of refugees overall, at 2.7 million.

I have trouble understanding why “Germany remains the main destination for migrants in Europe”-the Winters are snowy and cold, with energy for heating not reliable because of the green energy BS, and the people are mostly humorless, cheerless and cold, too. France and Spain are just as green energy unreliable-but at least the Winters are milder in France and sunny Spain-the people are more pleasant, too. In any case, those places are welcome to all those pirates, and the jihadist crowd-send them the ones who came here, too.
There were plenty of very good reasons my ancestors packed up and booked passage from Spain about 400 years ago, never looking back-no way would I live in Europe...

I took a road trip through Europe last year... Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium. Half the time I felt like I was in the Middle East. It was depressing to see traditional European cultures being Islamisized. The one bright spot in my trip - Poland! I hope Poland keeps up the fight to maintain its heritage.
When Merkel started importing them she and her press whores sold it as Mustafah becoming German tax payers to fund the generous welfare system for German citizens in their old age and to cover the “free” medical care bill. The Germans bought it. Problem is no one bothered to tell Mustapha that he was suppose to get a job so now Fritz and Hans are having to work longer to pay the taxes so Mustaphah can stay home with his 5 wives and 20 kids.
Poland will not last. Their universities are all polluted with German trained feminists. The only thing saving Eastern Europe is the rapefugees keep on going to Germany or Austria where the welfare ensures they will never have to work. Eastern Europe gives the rapefugees nothing but a cot in a cold warehouse and minimal welfare.

18 million out of a total Germany population of 83 million is 21%. 72% of that is 13 million “working” (military) age men. Things are going to get interesting in old Deutschland...
It’s a worldwide thing. The right gets cheap labor, the left gets voters, and both hope to eventually get tax-payers to keep their systems alive, and residents to populate their armies, and keep their countries on the map.

I don’t understand the chart. It shows there will be 60M+ in 2060 when, in fact, Europe has 65M TODAY.
