The opposition parties appear on line to win a majority of the seats in the next election (presumably in October). This merger puts Bennett in line for the top spot (prime minister), Lapid for the possibly third spot, and reserves the second spot for Gadi Eisenkot. This line-up would be quite formidable. The one major player in the center right to center parties of Israel kind of left off would be Avigdor Lieberman. Perhaps he would be number four. This kind of bargaining usually occurs after the election; however, it seems as though some or all of this bargaining is going to be completed before the upcoming election.
