A job listing, first unearthed by Yellowhammer News on Thursday, reveals the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was hit with an 11-count indictment amid an ongoing search for a new CEO. According to the listing, the nonprofit is willing to pay up to $525,000 per year for a new top executive to lead the SPLC into its “Next Chapter.”

Though only posted to the third-party job listing website, Daybook, on Wednesday, the listing has been available on a job board maintained by the headhunting firm, Korn Ferry, since December 19, 2025.

According to the listing, the next CEO of the SPLC will join the nonprofit during a “pivotal moment,” as the next leader, “will not only inherit a legacy of courage and conviction, but also have the opportunity to shape the future of civil rights in America.”

The job listing further explains that the next CEO of the SPLC, “will be responsible for ensuring the SPLC’s consistent fulfillment of its mission, strategic vision, and financial objectives, bringing transparency and visionary leadership to every facet of the organization.”

In addition to the headhunter website and Daybook, the listing is currently available on the SPLC website.

I suspect potential takers did a deep dive into the criminal conduct of the SPLC organization and took a hard pass.

Patel claims the civil rights group “used the money they raised from their donor network to actually pay the leadership of these very groups,” labeling it as a serious violation. “This is a serious and egregious violation of a group that purported to dismantle violent extremist groups, but in turn, actually only fueled the hatred,” the FBI director said.

This is not something SPLC denies. In a video released by the group, founded in 1971, interim President and CEO Bryan Fair admitted the group began paying informants to infiltrate hate groups as a way to protect its staff after the organization’s headquarters was firebombed in 1983. “When we began working with informants, we were living in the shadow of the height of the civil rights movement, which had seen bombings at churches, state-sponsored violence against demonstrators and the murders of activists that went unanswered by the justice system,” Fair said.

it was protection money.......................

From bitchuneedsoap on X:

Here is how SPLC is directly connected to the toolkits being distributed in American schools right now.

Both toolkits are produced by Western States Center. Western States Center’s Board Treasurer is Lecia Brooks. Brooks is simultaneously the Chief of Staff at the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Treasurer of WSC’s board is the operational number two at SPLC. This is a direct governance link, not an adjacent network.

The teacher toolkit cites SPLC’s Extremist Files as authoritative source material. It quotes former WSC Executive Director Eric Ward’s SPLC-published 2020 essay in its conclusion.

Eric Ward ran Western States Center from 2017 to 2022. He is now a Senior Fellow at SPLC.

Ward previously worked at the Ford Foundation during the tenure of Ford President Darren Walker.

During Walker’s 12 years at Ford, the foundation paid Western States Center at least $875,000 across three verified grants. All three grants are in Ford’s public database.

Walker left Ford in October 2025. He joined the Obama Foundation Board of Directors on November 1, 2025.

Ford Foundation is a named funder of the teacher toolkit, listed in its own acknowledgments page.

The student toolkit cites Political Research Associates as a source. PRA is the sister organization of Western States Center in the same ideological network.

The toolkits’ co-author Jessica Acee is a 2023 Obama Foundation US Leader, personally selected by President Obama from a pool of 6,000+ applicants.

The Obama Foundation’s official bio lists her Western States Center affiliation.

Ford Foundation → Obama Foundation → Western States Center → Southern Poverty Law Center.

* * *

Western States Center’s first toolkit is called “Confronting White Nationalism in Schools.” It is currently deployed in 1,400+ American schools, distributed through a “train-the-trainer” cascade model.

The October 2025 revised edition names sitting elected officials as examples of spreading “great replacement conspiracy theory.” On page 11, it quotes Rep. Lauren Boebert, Rep. Brian Babin, and Senator JD Vance, now Vice President of the United States.

American teachers are being trained that the sitting Vice President is an example of the conspiracy theory they need to counter in classrooms.

Scenario B categorizes parents who object to curriculum texts containing “feminist, queer, or critical race theory topics” as scenarios of “Invocation of White Nationalist Ideology.”

Parents who file FOIA requests, challenge curriculum, run for school board, or attend board meetings are grouped in the same category as the Proud Boys, Patriot Front, League of the South, and Nick Fuentes’s America First.

The toolkit authorizes staff to search student devices when “probable cause” arises. The toolkit’s own examples of probable cause include citing sources staff considers bigoted.

It instructs staff to contact “friendly media” and to “speak anonymously to minimize risk” against organizing parents.

It explicitly prohibits white student groups. The toolkit states the need for racial affinity groups “does not translate to white students” and tells administrators such requests “cannot be dignified as viable.”

It tells teachers to revise assessment rubrics to rule out “the vast majority of white nationalist publications and figures.” The toolkit does not define which sources qualify.

The toolkit cites SPLC’s Extremist Files as authoritative source material and quotes former WSC Executive Director Eric Ward’s SPLC-published essay in its conclusion.

Eric Ward is now a Senior Fellow at SPLC. SPLC was federally indicted yesterday on 11 counts of wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The toolkit’s own acknowledgments page lists its funders: the Ford Foundation, George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Democracy Fund, and the Schusterman Family Philanthropies, among others.

The toolkit’s co-author Jessica Acee is a 2023 Obama Foundation US Leader, personally selected by President Obama.
