Yet another ‘mental health crisis’.
It was getting to the point where I thought it was mostly just adulterous pro ballplayers who had these ‘spontaneous mental health crisis’. //
I’m sorry David did not receive the help he apparently needed.

Yet another ‘mental health crisis’.

~~~
I don’t know if it’s just how amped up the new media is and how often and how fast news comes in these days, but it sure seems to me that the “mental health crisis” thing has accelerated since covid.
Maybe we are just getting exposed to a lot more reporting on events like this, or maybe it’s just happening a lot more.
I was not aware that Nick Pope also died. I just looked it up. His was cancer
There was nothing mysterious about the deaths of Nick Pope and Erich von Däniken. Pope, age 60, had a nasty case of esophageal cancer that spread to his liver. Von Däniken was 90.
This came as a shock. From time to time I have listened to his YouTube sessions. I hadn’t watched him for maybe six moths, so I have no idea what he was into near term. It sounds like the recent scientists and researchers deaths were weighing heavily on his mind. He was a very interesting person with an interesting perspective on the unexplained.
Even if it was, and he is the strongly empathetic type that takes in pain on deep level, it still doesn’t explain shooting yourself. There’s got to be more to it. Substance abuse, physical or neurological illness, and/or some sort of financial or quality-of-life threat.
I think his final thoughts were, “Is this thing loaded?”
RIP. Not a fan of the “love and light, find the Creator within” stuff he shoveled. Looking at his recent videos you could see the real cognitive dissonance he was going through with all his talk of positivity versus all the real world problems he was apparently facing. Some people would rather struggle forever instead of realizing that Christ is King.
