Nigel Farage will today pledge to deport 400,000 people who have been granted asylum in the UK, to reverse what Reform is calling “an invasion of Britain”. The historic promise, set to form a centrepiece of Reform’s general election campaign, will provoke a furious reaction from left-wingers and human rights campaigners.
But Reform UK leader Mr Farage and his home affairs spokesman, Zia Yusuf, will argue that people who came to the UK illegally, or overstayed their visa, must not be allowed to remain. The party has already said that nobody who breaks immigration rules in the future will be allowed to stay, if Reform wins power. The new announcement applies to people who have already been granted asylum.
Mr Farage will announce plans to review all asylum grants going back five years. Those who entered the country illegally, or arrived with a valid visa but then overstayed before claiming asylum, will be forced to go, along with any dependents. People granted asylum whose country of origin is now considered safe will also have to leave.
They will be given a chance to depart voluntarily, and those who remain will be deported under what Reform is calling Operation Restoring Justice.
The party estimates that this will apply to 400,000 people in total, if they form a government after a 2029 election.

This sounds like Farage is trying to reassure his base that he's not going wobbly.
I recall just few weeks ago he was commenting any one wanting mass deportations was not wanted in his party.
Restore must really be having an impact on his internal numbers.
400,000 from UK will be a significant first step towards restoring the country’s future. (Same for USA.)
His efforts are too late. As I see it, the Brits are demoralized. Their leaders have been cowed, their law enforcement is against them, and they have no means to fight back.
It's more than that. It's cultural rot. When I was there three years ago London was graffiti ridden, bags of trash everywhere waiting to be picked up, a distinct sense of tension on the streets, and burkas everywhere.
I very, very much hope I am wrong.
Nigel Farage has had several good ideas for Britain, at least since 2015, when his friendship with then candidate Donald Trump brought him to my notice.
Unfortunately, Nigel may be on that short list of articulate, well intended politicians who, for one reason or another cannot ever seem to get themselves elected into office. Marine Le Pen of France is another.
Sometimes, a very efficient and righteous person can seem inflexible, didactic and unlikable when it’s time to cast a vote. Ted Cruz comes to mind. I want him for our Supreme Court, but I don’t think Ted himself wants it.

no one wants to, and no one will ever face the very negative optics of running people out of a nation and loading them in to trains. Unfortunately that would be the only way to do what needed to be done. And so we will continue to be a nation in decline. But we can console one another, as we sink beneath the waves that we are good people!
