I can respect a genuine isolationist. I believe that’s a very unrealistic and dangerous policy for America (or any country in today’s world). But I can respect it if it is sincere. As an aside, let me emphasize that with respect to Iran, The US demand is eminently reasonable:
1. Open up the Straight of Hormuz ( which is International Waters )
2. Stop nuclear weapons development
3. Stop funding terrorist proxies.
In return, your frozen funds will be unfrozen. You will be given FREE ( yes FREE ) uranium to develop nuclear energy ( but not weapons ).
The demand is eminently reasonable and moderate factions seem to agree to this.
Unfortunately the moderate faction in Iran does not have total control of the country and THAT is the problem.
And yes, The only thing missing is a demand to stop executing protesters who want more freedom ( tens of thousands have been massacred already ). I don’t see their fate even being brought up in the negotiations.
Trump’s tweets in my view are TOO OPTIMISTIC. It ASSUMES that the party the US is negotiating with speaks for Iran when it’s clear they don’t hold the weapons and thus, they’re not the REAL power.

As Rubio said, Israel started the war against their archenemy Iran which has the destruction of Israel written in its constitution.
It’s Israel who should have said what Trump stated. America is the one helping Israel right now. Israel isn’t helping the USA.
That said, I support the this war because I always support wars America is fighting for itself, or for others. And we can’t let Iran get the nuke.
While Trump has repeatedly said for 3 months that the “war is over” and that NATO help is therefore not necessary… well, since the war seems still far from over, it would be great if Trump invited individual EU nations to participate - outside of NATO of course since NATO is exclusively a defensive organization and can only help if Article 5 is invoked. Which Trump has refused to do.
He can’t therefore criticize NATO.
When America invoked Article 5 after 911, NATO immediately responded and helped out for years in Afghanistan. Thousands of non-US Nato causalities followed.
