It turns out the over 100 women from Turkey who flew over to America to have their babies then signed up for Medicaid
So not only did their kids get birthright citizenship but then the American taxpayer had to pay for the procedure and follow up care

This shows a pattern on the part of folks in other countries that know how to game the system.

You’ve probably heard the phrase “birth tourism”, jerod.
It’s been reported recently that, over the years, some one million chinese babies have gotten bought and paid for “maternity tourism” US citizenship, and they’re now grown up and will soon be eligible to vote.
Not a drop in the bucket, by any estimation. That’s just wrong!
So people born in America shouldn’t have the right to be citizens of America???

Children under age 18 should acquire the citizenship of their mother by default, and of their father by substantial support.
