Iran completely rejects Trump’s 15-point cease-fire plan — and makes wild demands instead

Iran completely rejected President Trump’s 15-point peace plan on Wednesday — and put forth its own maximalist demands to end the war.

After the president claimed that Iran agreed to major components of his peace plan, including giving up their nuclear weapon ambition, Tehran told mediators that Trump’s plan was unacceptable, according to state media.

Iranian lawmakers have instead presented their own deal that would see the Islamic republic rule over the Strait of Hormuz and ensure its safety, along with that of its terror proxies abroad.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which has consolidated power within the remains of Tehran’s regime, vowed to keep the war going until the US closed all American bases in the Gulf and provided reparations for its attacks on Iran.

Along with a full American withdrawal, Iran’s leader insisted they should have full control over the Strait of Hormuz, the key shipping route that has cut off access to 20% of the world’s oil supply. The change would allow Iran to collect fees from the ships that travel through the passage, similar to what Egypt does with the Suez Canal. The new source of revenue for Iran would be compounded with an end to all sanctions on the Islamic republic, according to Tehran’s demands.

Iran also demands a permanent end to the war, as well as Israel’s fight with the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon.

While the regime made no mention of its nuclear program in the demands, it said Iran should be allowed to keep its missile program with no negotiations to limit it.

Who the heel is Trump “negotiating” with? I doubt that we’re even negotiating with anyone in Iran. I feel like we’re all getting-screened.

It’s clear what is happening. There are divisions within the government in Iran. It’s not united. We are talking to some people that think they will be in power, yet we are still getting communications from another faction.

Can you imagine the power grabs that various people are contemplating there? It’s highly volatile to say the least. Nothing will surprise me at this point.

Those speaking publicly are the one who will be hunted down by others in Iran for any new destruction the US gives Iran, starting now.

This is nice.

So if anyone harms Hezbollah, Hamas or the Houthis, they will close the Strait? Wonderful.

He’s “negotiating” with people that can influence action and prove it. I’d argue the problem is that the media listens to anyone.

I’ve also seen Trump, on a number of occasions, give somebody a chance to do the right thing, when they don’t, he pulls the trigger without hesitation.

Iran is in no position to be making demands. They were given 5 days. I believe we’re on day 3. He will hit their power plants. This will cripple the country. With 90+ million people without power (read WATER) indefinitely, any remaining “power structure” will be overwhelmed. Water is already a problem, has been for a while. People faced with dehydration/starvation will not hesitate to risk their life.

I don’t wish it on the Iranian people but the cowards in the IRGC are radical enough to take this path.

Exactly. In addition to a "mosaic defense," they appear to have a very mosaic political structure, with multiple competing factions. The Speaker who Trump says he is talking with, was mayor of Tehran for 12 years and ran for president 3 times without success. You can be sure he wants to rule Iran, and this is his best chance to come out on top. He is not a religious zealot like Khamenei Jr.

We are the ones who get the Reparations from defeated enemy.

Iran needs to pays us for all the troop mobilizations, all the bombs, all the missiles, and all the damage done to US assets. And direct rrpsyment for all the years of terrorism damages. And add a couple airplanes full of cash to repay us the Obama cash palates, plus interest at 18% per year.

Don’t throw me in that briar patch!

The dipsh*t surrendermonkey choir here demanding that the US just turn around and go home doesn't have the intellectual capacity to understand that.

I think that the only 'strait' the Iranian congress needs are strait-jackets. their demands are delusional.
