Trump Sours on British Leader Over Iran War: ‘What If Donald Shouts at Me?’
The New York Times ^ | March 24, 2026 | Michael D. Shear

Posted on 03/24/2026 6:54:13 AM PDT by MinorityRepublican

It’s now crystal clear what President Trump thinks of Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain.

Over the weekend, Mr. Trump shared on social media a brutal skit from Britain’s new version of the “Saturday Night Live” show, portraying the prime minister as overly eager to please the president and terrified of him. “Golly,” the actor portraying Mr. Starmer says, “what if Donald shouts at me?”

Mr. Trump’s decision to distribute the skit to millions of his followers is the latest presidential disparagement of his British counterpart. In recent weeks, the president has mercilessly mocked Mr. Starmer as cowardly and spineless because of his unwillingness to fully join the fight against Iran. Mr. Trump has repeatedly said that Mr. Starmer is “No Winston Churchill” and chided him for not clearing the way for U.S. jets to use British bases for the initial strikes.

“We don’t need people that join Wars after we’ve already won!” the president wrote on March 7.

For Mr. Starmer, who has spent more than a year trying to be Europe’s Trump whisperer, the very public crumbling of their relationship comes at an already difficult time. Ukraine still needs American support to defend itself against Russia, a key priority for the British government. Mr. Starmer is fighting the perception that he refuses to take firm stands on policy. And now, the conflict with Iran is further damaging the already wobbly British economy.

The prime minister continues to talk privately with the president — including a 20-minute call on Sunday evening not long after the president circulated the “S.N.L.” skit online — but it’s unclear how much sway he has.

“The UK acts like that drunk elderly boxer getting in the ring one last time.”

Finding out London is within range of Iranian missiles can be a wake up call.

The UK doesn’t need protection from Russia or anybody else except commies like Starmer.

I have zero respect for the country currently.
They need to dig deep and find their balls.
They recently gave an ok for abortion up til birth.
They fail at the most basic level of protecting their citizens.
They’re a Muslim caliphate who allows the Mullahs mansions in London.
They aren’t worth a one drop of sweat by our military

Americans must come to the painful realization that England has been permantly transformed. Not only is it not the England of Churchill that Americans imagine but soon statues of Churchill will soon be removed from pulic viewing in England. He will be devolved into a “non person”. Anyone who has spoken or speaks criticism of Islam will be cancelled in this country that has committed cultural suicide.

At this point, England is more like Turkey except the weather is better in Turkey.

“Americans must come to the painful realization that England has been permantly transformed. “

So true. The UK, England, Great Britain, whatever you prefer to call them - no longer exist. It is an Islamic colony. And much like the Europeans slowly but surely erased the natives in the Americas, so will the muslims erase Europeans (but much quicker). Trump’s top 10 list of urgent issue should soon include hijacking, removing, or permanently disabling the UK’s nuclear and ICBM arsenal.

I’s suggest that Israel’s patented secret cyber virus, combined with sabotage from within, would be the best route.

On a related note, people are complaining about how the UK’s navy has basically rusted and is no longer usable. What if that was the strategy of the few true believers in Britain that are left in control of the military branches? They know the civilian government will lead them to the muzzie death pits, so they have purposely allowed their military to degrade beyond repair? Possibility . . . I can’t believe their military leaders are so stupid or vain as to merely hand freshly maintained and operated weapons over to their muzzie occupiers.

Starmer was asked before he was elected, “Davos or Westminster?” He was not hesitant when he answered “Davos”. He told them before he was elected that he thought the World Economic Forum was a higher authority than his own country. How is anyone surprised at what he is doing?

There is nothing Britain can do to save itself that it is willing to do. They are lost.

Starmer in his collegiate days was a “Trot” - Trotskyite communist a very in thing to be back then. You see being “Trot” at “uni” lampooned in UK comedies of the 1970s/1980s like “Yes Minister, etc” & “The Young Ones”. Like our own “Feel the Bern” Starmer vacationed behind the Iron Curtin. He and all the leadership of the Labor Party are also members of the Fabian Society - a far left but not Marxist (supposedly don’t believe in violent revolution!) group.

Interestingly enough so was Tony Blair. Blair’s Parliaments removed the last remaining restraints the monarchy could use to reign in a runaway “mobocracy” Parliament. The Conservative Party like many “conservatives!” were too cowardly to challenge.
