The Democrats have refused to pass funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). That helped to cause chaos at the airports after the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) had hundreds of its employees quit because they weren't being paid. Then, too, some are calling in sick. The wait times to get through security ballooned up to hours, with mammoth lines. Not only that, but it puts all of us in a more dangerous situation when the whole of the DHS isn't being funded and protecting our security.
Democrats put their political agenda against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over their duty to protect the American people.
But Trump, after seeing the mess at the airports, then thought of sending ICE agents in to help. As Border Czar Tom Homan, who is in charge of the effort, explained, they can help relieve the TSA, allowing them to do more screening of people through the checkpoints by picking up other duties like security around the airport.
That, of course, had some Democrats flipping out. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) went full-bore crackers, claiming ICE was going to be brutalizing people and shooting them at the airports. They can't stand to lose their hostage-taking of the TSA and the American people.
But then, guess what? Even CNN noticed a change at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. Their senior national correspondent, Ryan Young, said that the lines had dropped off significantly since the morning, that the lines were under 30 minutes, which sounds a lot closer to normal wait times. He also checked through the terminals and found that the wait times were dropping around the airport. and were similar. He declared it "fantastic."
Young explained how ICE was doing security around the airport.
But there was one more thing they had to deal with, because, of course, the left then decided they had to protest ICE being at the airport, even if ICE being there might be helping the American people, and even if their protest is going to add to the headaches that the airport already has to deal with. Can we talk about how gross and despicable that is? They can't just let the issue be addressed without bellyaching for their agenda.
That sounds like good news, and we'll let you know how it goes.
The TSA also still wanted to get paid, as Young noted. But Democrats are still holding that up. The Republicans need to be very vocal about where the blame lies here and try to do what they can to resolve this issue.

Best part is the great ‘PR’ ICE is getting. 50% of agents are minorities - not the ‘white supremacists’ the media portrays. Normal Americans get to see who really helps them. I hope this goes on til the midterms.

Air traffic controllers are over worked and not paid.
Airports have been in chaos!
The democrats have a lot of blood on their hands!
They couldn’t care less about American citizens.
Our nightly local news (WFAA an ABC affiliate) showed long lines at Atlanta, Houston then sowed signs saying TSA delays at DFW were two minutes :) and no ICE people in sight.
