Iran has launched missiles at Israel after it ominously warned Donald Trump that it has 'special plans' for him and the US's allies in the Gulf, following the American president's threat to attack the nation's power plants.
A source told the state-run Fars News Agency: 'Tonight, special events are planned for Tel Aviv and some regional allies of the US and Israel that will completely remove the hope of negotiations from the minds of the aggressors.'
Iran appears to have made good on the threat, firing missiles at Eilat area in southern Israel, as well as the cities of Dimona and Yeruham. Residents in the Jerusalem area tonight reported hearing loud explosions.
The Iranian threat came following Trump's suggestion the Strait of Hormuz could be jointly run by himself and the Ayatollah when it fully reopens to the world following talks to end the Iran war.
The President also claimed Tehran may agree to give up its nuclear ambitions in any deal to put an end to the conflict in his first remarks since announcing a halt on strikes to Iran's energy infrastructure earlier today.
Trump said if upcoming talks go well the war could end within a week, before later adding: 'Otherwise, we'll just keep bombing our little hearts out.'
But Iranian officials told Fars that even if the roiling war ended, 'the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to the pre-war situation.'
Meanwhile Iranian state television has boasted Trump 'backed down' in the war over fears of Iran's response to blowing up the country's power plants.
On Saturday, Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the partially closed Strait of Hormuz or face new strikes on key energy sites.

Trump has to understand that any political figures who would be willing to work with the US will not be able to control the IRGC. The Revolutionary Guards will do whatever it takes to blow up any cooperation; that’s why negotiations are a fools errand, just like when the president of Iran apologized for bombing neighboring countries and the IRGC immediately started bombing them some more and said that his comments were inappropriate.
We need to keep going. If the IRGC gets degraded enough, the Iranian people will rise up against their oppressors again, and this time some of them are in fact armed.

Secondly, as everyone except dedicated doomers here knows, Trump already knows all about the mullah’s thoughts and history; you can find posts here and everywhere detailing his knowledge back well before he made any noises about being interested in actually doing politics.
Lastly Trump does this with everyone. He did it with Democrats on the shutdown, with Hamas, with Cana-duh and Mexi-cartel and Venezuela, China on trade, etc. etc.
He offers a deal knowing that there are all odds they’ll spit all over it, so when he has to take the next action the whiners can’t say “but why didn’t he wait to see if they would be reasonable? Why such action? Why why why.....” (OK, they do anyway).
