Eunisses Hernandez: Police for Me, But Not for Thee
New York Post ^ | March 22, 2026

Eunisses Hernandez is against the police — when it comes to protecting you. But Hernandez is all for the police — when it comes to protecting her, and when she can charge the cost to taxpayers.

An investigation by The California Post revealed that despite campaigning to abolish or defund the police; despite voting against city budgets over police funding; and despite voting against the use of LAPD officers for council events, Hernandez used police to protect her own event.

That event was a celebration of Mexican Independence Day at City Hall last September. Hernandez’s office arranged for 13 armed LAPD officers to be there. They cost the city nearly $135,000 in overtime pay.

Call me crazy, but shouldn’t Mexican Independence day be celebrated — in Mexico?

True American. I am against complex tax laws with thousands of exceptions. But on my own return I use every loophole possible. I speed ( as long as I think I won’t get caught). The more and bigger the government, the more exceptions H1b expires. Employers accept that a work visa is “ in process” for the consultant. The real world is a mess.

“Call me crazy, but shouldn’t Mexican Independence day be celebrated — in Mexico?”

Pretty common in states with a large amount of
US citizens that ID as of Mexican decent.
Not a Paid holiday per se, but a
good reason to party!
I grew up in southern California,
in my elementary school we were taught
conversational Spanish on a state
provided TV station.
Buenos Dias!
My “Race” is northern European.
I never paid much attention to Cinco De Mayo.

She’s a huge breakfast burrito, 500 lb Darien Gap mammy. She’s bigtime now. Not just your fatass, low I.Q. toilet scrubbing fruitpicker anymore.

Like all good socialists, Hernandez pushes on the plebs one policy while exempting herself for privileged treatment.

You SHOULD use every loophole possible. The laws as passed by Congress are a labyrinthine joke …. Use it to you advantage!

I thought that was what Cinco de Mayo* was for…

*: Cinco de Mayo…. Named for the sinking of the Titanic. The Titanic’s
Next port of call after New York was Vera Cruz and she was carrying a large shipment of mayonnaise for that destination. Hence the loss of the Titanic was the ‘sinko de Mayo’…..

My advice? I think you need to ketchup on some of the details of early 20th century maritime history.

*: Cinco de Mayo…

I believe the Light Worker referred to it as the Cinco de Cuatro. But in any case, Mexican Independence Day is in September, not May.

Taught Spanish in elementary school?

Shows how screwed LA was even then.

I grew up on the border in Arizona and only took Spanish in HS. Teacher was the only Mexican guy there and he looked and talked like he was from Kansas.

Not assimilating in Arizona was treated rather harshly. Speaking Spanish in public was considered rude and anti-American.

And I don’t recall hearing any Spanish in San Diego back then. Barrio Logan was considered an outlier.

Just goes to show that all the bad stuff in the US came from Los Angeles liberals.
