A communal iftar in the heart of London has ignited a fierce political row in the United Kingdom. On March 16 afternoon, around 3,000 Muslims gathered at Trafalgar Square for the annual “Open Iftar”, an event held since 2019 to mark the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
Hundreds of attendees, including London Mayor Sadiq Khan, joined the call to prayer, kneeling at Trafalgar Square. Khan hailed the gathering as a reflection of London’s inclusive ethos, saying the city “celebrates and champions our diversity”.
What began as a symbolic display of unity quickly spiralled into controversy. Conservative MP and UK’s shadow Justice Minister Nick Timothy triggered a political storm after posting a video of the prayer on X. In his post, Timothy described “mass ritual prayer in public spaces” as “an act of domination”.

It's a sign that they dominate and have conquered the area.
Anyone think once Muslims take over they'll practice "inclusive ethos?"
This is just sad. England is gone.
The last night of Ramadan is a large party like the fourth of July. Its a celebration that Ramadan is over. No more fasting all day. I ran into such a party in Israel two years ago. They party all night but with no alcohol. The whole family is out until around midnight. It starts at around sundown. There is a prayer at the Mosque until then. In Israel there were carnival rides and street vendors. Lots of police but it seemed quite peaceful. Muslim children everywhere. So I would not think there would be violence.
Doesn’t look like Trafalgar Square. I’d expect pidgeon droppings.
one way tolerance is tyranny
There were pidgin droppings, we can be assured of that.
mostly other crap!
Some folks tried to warn them but........
There were vestigial Christian believers, but the C of E is a lost cause -- probably always was since it was founded by the morbidly obese satyr neurosyphilitic Henry VIII founded it centuries ago.
So it is no surprise that Moose Limbs have found an excellent growth medium in the UK.
HOWEVER, there is a strong Awakening going on worldwide in the USA, the UK, and Europe.
Basically, people need to make the intellectual leap that their belief system is NOT a religion in the normal sense of the word, and in fact, is antithetical to true religion.
The reasons are obvious and irrefutable:
They espouse tactical lying and purveying falsehood as virtuous activities.
Likewise they advocate ambush and murder against innocents of the Christian or Jewish faiths.
They exclude other belief systems entirely, insisting on their destruction and exclusion.
Their focus is on espousing death and maximizing its influence, not on preserving life.
In sum their belief system is the antithesis of Christianity, according to John 1 and 14. The identity between the Almighty and truth is emphasized by these chapters, Jesus himself proclaims it, and by many other such texts in the Old and New Testaments.
The task ahead is in convincing everyone that what they are is no more a religion than is Marxism or Maoism, or Liberalism, or Satanism.
“...the C of E is a lost cause —... since it was founded ... Henry VIII...”
Mow them down with .50-caliber machine guns like they did when they conquered the Ramadan believers home countries.
The public prayer is to show the Brits that their new masters have arrived and plan to take over.
Public Easter dinner, anyone?
“Timothy described “mass ritual prayer in public spaces” as “an act of domination”.“
That’s exactly what it is. Jesus tells us to go into our closet to pray. Islam wants to intimidate and divide.
we are seeing this here, better nip it in the bud
I was in Trafalgar Square in the 1990s—no muslims!
I was in San Francisco in the 1990s—clean streets and sidewalks!
Both once-iconic places need to be restored to what they once were!
NYC, etc
Inclusive they say. I didn't see any females at the gathering. Oh that's right they were home, barefoot and in the kitchen. Sorry I lost my head for a minute.
