Two top intelligence officials directly contradicted one of the Trump administration’s justifications for going to war with Iran, repeating on Wednesday the intelligence community’s conclusion that Iran was years away from developing missiles capable of hitting the United States.
Testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, and John Ratcliffe, the C.I.A. director, would not say whether the intelligence community had determined that Iran would be able to launch such long-range missiles within six months.
Ms. Gabbard said that Iran “could” combine technology from its existing space program with its missile development capabilities to “begin to develop” an intercontinental ballistic missile “before 2035, should Tehran attempt to pursue that capability.”

So?
What is the timetable with help from China and North Korea?
Hey, it’s the New York Times. They’re probably trying to figure out a way to make Ali Khamenei their 2026 Man of the Year.
The Intel Community has proved that they will lie for leftist partisan gains. Trump has not cleared house. They are the same people who pushed Russian Collusion. I don’t believe anything they say.
They didn’t say /= directly contradicted Trump
The driveby media are fake news.
Iran had a North Korean ICBM in pieces from which they could reverse engineer their own ICBM.
But short of that, a nuke in a container ship will work just as well. Not mention they could nuke anyone within a 2,000km radius with their existing missiles.
NYT. Always rooting for the enemy.
President Trump made the right decision to support the Iranian people. End of story, in my book.
I think their point is that a nuclear IRGC is not an “imminent” threat if we’re pretty sure they’ll hit someone else first. Or if they just threaten us with it but don’t actually hit us with it. Maybe blackmail us with it but we do what they want so it’s all fine.
Shouting “Death to America” every day and killing Americans for 50 years doesn’t count.
More importantly, there has been no change in their mindset since they took over.
Iran’s mullahs had to be toppled because they are the face of terror around the world. Only Trump had the political will to do it.
NT Times news reporter on phone at desk: “Toys R’ Us voice scrambler or not, is that you, Rand? Yet another “intelligence” scoop for us? And you still owe me for stiffing me for that bar tab at O’Shaele’s last weekend.”
Recently I was listening to Bongino’s podcast. He was discussing the purposeful intent of most in the media to distort the truth. Dan’s observation while working for the FBI was the media’s deliberate re-write of a story by taking a small piece and then creating their own story. This is evil at the highest level.
“John Ratcliffe, the C.I.A. director, would not say whether the intelligence community had determined that Iran would be able to launch such long-range missiles within six months.”
NYT headline: “U.S. Intelligence Saw No Change in Iran’s Missile Capabilities Before War”
NYT: leftist lying anti-MAGA, anti-GOP, anti-Trump, antiUSA propagandists ...
My headline.
Tulsi threaded the political needle.
They’re digging for ANYTHING that could possibly taint any US victory here.
I guess all of those new cluster weapons just appeared in the last 3 weeks, huh?
