Trump, in a statement, called the attack one of the “most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East,” and said only military assets were targeted on the island, a 5-mile strip of land that is home to Iran’s most important oil facility.
“I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island,” Trump said on social media. “However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision.”

Nice!
The real problem is that the (few surviving/remaining) Iranian leadership are likely not rational. During the Iran-Iraq War they proved they were willing to absorb catastrophic losses for years on end. So don’t be surprised if the Marine Expeditionary Force now heading to the region may be forced to seize Kharg Island to stop the IRGC from blowing up their own oil infrastructure. Almost certain that Delta/DEVGRU must also have plans for taking the island.
If Iran were rational, they would have taken one of the multiple off-ramps President Trump has already given them. I seriously doubt they are, though; which means we should brace for some truly insane developments in the next 48 hours.
Irrational people who believe they are operating under religious orders will rarely respond to threats in a rational manner. If they did, they would have surrendered during the second day of the bombing after the overwhelming show of might by the USAF and Israelis. And overwhelming display that included a decapitation strike. President Trump may have to exert more pressure and hope that it exceeds their religious fervor and madness.
Take the land. Kharg. And all Iranian territory adjacent to the Hormuz strait. All of it. Declare it a US military base. We are to take that land as ours.
Sell enough Iran Oil to repay USA completely for all the cost of all the effort, missiles, drones, troop deployments, all the costs to the USA of eradicating these terrorist demonic Iranian jackals from the world stage.
We need reparations for the Iran terror war on USA.
That could only come after Iran’s ability to counter strike has been further diminished.
what are we expecting in downtown crazyville? The moon-worshippers are going to turn into little English Lords and Ladies? They are nucking futz. Brain surgery can’t fix that. Bombing isn’t going to do anything. As soon as we run away, as soon as we flee they will still be just as crazy.
Great. Stir up the giant ape and transport him to the mainland.
+1
Exactly, keep the Kargh Island as our sovereign territory.
Perhaps a little more difficult, keep the large island in the straight of Hormuz, and have the Muslim countries pay for its development as an iron dome (Trump dome) I bet the countries in the region are already screaming for us to develop it.

They could operate the strait like the Panama canal zone. Keep it open for everybody, with a military presence and civilian oversight, since Iran has been such a-holes about it. They’ve played the threat for decades. Enough is enough.
GWP had a short video of the military taking out a few buildings at the Kharg Island airport and putting a few craters on the runway.
John Di Leo wrote an excellent piece describing their behavior:

Riiiiight.
Canberra, a lot is starting to make sense now...
You think gas prices are high now.
I was around for the 70s gas lines and energy crisis.
We’ll get through this.

I would not be surprised if everything on Kharg is booby trapped for a “dead man” explosion.
Big fn deal
It cost me $49 to fill up my tank yesterday.
$3.35/gallon in NH.
I spent twice that on dinner out.
It is a minor inconvenience.
These liberal countries and states like California did it to themselves.
Maybe their voters need to wake up and fire the politicians they keep electing
