If one of those officers that didn’t get the training they were supposed to get ends up killing someone or violating their rights...the city is in for a huge lawsuit.
“Multiple sources close to the matter exclusively confirmed to the California Globe that the probe centers on allegations of forged training documents tied to mandatory Peace Officers’ Standards and Training (POST) certifications, including critical areas like firearms proficiency, mental illness response, and domestic violence intervention—trainings all, or some, of the officers reportedly never completed.
Current and former law enforcement officials were shocked at the news, telling the Globe that certification is not only required, but the alleged actions, falling under Chief Nance’s command, were entirely avoidable with proper leadership and oversight.
This unprecedented move, described by local officials as a first in Washoe County’s history, prompted the City of Reno to activate an interagency agreement with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Washoe County Undersheriff Corey Solferino, a veteran with over two decades in law enforcement, was swiftly appointed as acting chief to maintain operational continuity.”
DEI bites Reno in the ass...
Reno Police Chief Kathryn Nance and five other officers were placed on paid administrative leave on March 9, 2026, due to a state-led investigation into potential violations of city policy.
The investigation, involving the Nevada Department of Public Safety and possibly the Attorney General’s office, focuses on alleged misconduct, possibly linked to officer training certifications.
She looks stylish.
“another female police chief ...”
my EXACT thought as well!
“DEI bites Reno in the ass...”
there’s no other reasonable explanation for the need for mass forgery of training certifications ...
Policy violations? Like failing to instruct officers to interfere with ICE, maybe? Some policies SHOULD be violated!
Others should be honored to the letter. Which were violated?

4. Selective Investigation
Possible examples:
Politically connected individuals receive less scrutiny
Complaints involving officials are not being pursued
Cases quietly closed despite credible allegations
I’m sure the mare isn’t involved. 🤔. Washoe county sheriff is running things IIRC.

My son-in-law got an Officer Dangle costume for Halloween about 10 yrs ago. Every time he wears that thing, I can’t stop laughing. I’ll see if he’s busy though. 🤣
My God that show was funny.
I LIVE HERE & THIS IS THE MOST INFO I HAVE HEARD OTHER THAN BEING PLACED ON LEAVE.
