The Iran war shows to be entering a new phase as attacks exceedingly target checkpoints and street-level security units, while witness reports sent to Iran International suggest any of those positions are moved or missed after their locations are exposed.
For days the conflict had focused narrowly on military bases, missile sites and command facilities, partially in southern Iran, as part of the US-Israeli side campaign that has driven thousands of targets across the country since the war began on February 28.
But since Wednesday evening, reported drone strikes on checkpoints in Tehran have pointed to a parallel line of pressure: the local security posts, control units and temporary deploys used to force control on the streets.
Iranian state-linked media said multiple checkpoints in Tehran were hit, killing members of the security forces and basic militia and multistrict positions across capital.
Since the beginning of the war, residents cross Iran say checkpoints and controls have been multiplied in major cities as authority [tries to] maintain control.
At the same time, Iran International has received a steady stream of messages from viewers describing the locations of checkpoints, security deploys and temporary bases.
[S]ecurity forces [are] using schools, sports [centers] and religious institutions as temporary admission or staging points.
Messages received in recent days pointed to positions ranging from major Tehran highways to entries to cities such as Karaj, Shiraz, Mashhad and Qazvin. Residents [also] described units stationed [at large] highway bridges, near parks, or inside parking areas where buses and motor cycles were parked above.
In multiple cases, viewers reported that checkpoints they had [moved or disappeared] within hours or days, while others appeared to move to near markets or [dispurse] into small control groups.
Others said checkpoints that had been inspecting vehicles were [disorganized], leaving only a few officers near.
Together they suggest that many deposits are becoming more fluid, with positions of lifting more frequently than remaining in one place.
For years the Islamic Republic has relied on a dense web of basij, police and revolutionary guidelines positions to control neighbors and quickly suppress the rest.
During the current generation wide protocols of this year, these same networks formed the backbone of the crackdown that sealed off districts and quashed the demonstrations.
[Now] those local security units appear to be playing a central role.
As larger bases and installations under pressure from first strikes, authorities appear to be releasing more [latitude] on mobile checkpoints and temporary deploys to maintain control over the ground.
Now those fallback positions are also falling into conflict.
[They are disorganized and] rearranged or [far from] military facilities, as the war is starting to touch the street corners, highway entrances and neighborhood control routes where the state experts day-to-day authority.

I understand the crown prince is telling them to wait a bit until the targets are softer.
They might find you if you used electronic means to communicate. The IRGC is probably scanning all phone communications. Hand signals or other non traceable simple methods would be needed for local info. And other more sophisticated non electronic methods used for long distances communications.
Just my non combatant, non military service history opinion FWIW. Just don’t use whistles like American marxists.
This also has the effect of IRGC either deserting altogether, or retreating and gathering in more concentrated numbers - essentially a herding action which makes it easier to wipe them out with fewer bombs.

The mullahs are rigid, violent fanatics tied into their interpretation of world history and prophecy. That will eventually be their undoing. Everything for them has to be interpreted by some IMAM to see if something, or action, is HALAL or not. Not suitable for fluid, deadly situations.
Those fanatics are not suitable for peaceful living, but to eliminate that violent aspect, there must be definitive rearrangements of their ways.
In Kuwait war, we somehow gave radios to invader Iraqi soldiers and everyday we broadcast where we would bomb. They listened intently while we broadcast surrender messages or bad propaganda about Saddam with the bombing news.
If we announce where we will bomb and do it as said, we become reliable source of info and make commanders on other side to be not trusted. As in, don’t send me there, I will be killed!
the IRGC people will move assets away. We can track them, then destroy them, or clear spaces for distribution of weapons, food, medicine, and anti-mullah information to Persians. The iranians wouuld be doing something to get rid of.the regime, but they have been busy being dead for the last couple months since the protests that apparently were not coordinated with Israel and the US
