Map Shows Average Gas Price in Each California County
KSBW ^ | Mar 5, 2026 | Susie Webb, Francisco Bernard

Military action in Iran is starting to impact prices at the pump as Americans have seen gas prices rise since strikes began in the Middle East on Saturday.

We're keeping track of gas prices in California. The Get the Facts Data Team put together a map that shows what prices look like in your area using data provided by AAA. The map updates once a day early in the morning. You can view the map below.

Crude oil prices in the U.S. have spike since Feb. 26 when it was tracked at about $65 per barrel.

Want to see how our area compares to other parts of the country? Use the Get the Facts Data Team's gas price tracker to see how much it's costing people in other states to fill up their tank.

And their “price map” (scroll down in the article) is not very accurate...they are at least 40 cents off on the prices near FR HQ (FResno)($4.59/gal. @ Costco).

"Military action in Iran is starting to impact prices at the pump ..."

Mysteriously, Newsom's regulatory strangulation of refineries and suppliers has no effect on supply. /s

As Trump said, the media are enemies of the American people.

I was shocked recently to see a price of $3.30/gallon in central Florida.

It was more than that in the Biden years. Trump became President and I considered it a happy milestone when prices fell below $3.00. Then I got spoiled and stopped looking at the price.

California has problems that are self-inflicted.

Using state averages, gas costs an extra $1.706/g in CA than FL.

“Military action in Iran is starting to impact prices at the pump as Americans have seen gas prices rise since strikes began in the Middle East on Saturday.”

LOL...did KSBW make a peep when Gruesome put all the CA refineries out of business and made it impossible to drill for oil or recover oil in the state?

Quartzsite, AZ is relatively just across the border, and needs a gasoline storage tank. Then tankers can cross over, fill up, then dispense gasoline for cash, at half the cost of CAs gas.

I’m sure it would drive the govt of CA apoplectic.

Diesel has remained the same, at least in the PNW. I’m guessing much of this is the required seasonal blend changes.

CA gas prices ~50% higher than national average.

that would ALL be state taxes.

they voted for it. let’s just make sure they don’t leave the state.

They got out outvoted for it....is more like it.

There is so much fake voting, ballot harvesting, fraud rings throughout the state it’s unbelievable.

There isn’t a vote rigging scheme invented that isn’t a four alarm fire level in every blue voting county/city/district, and the postal workers are in on it too.

“let’s just make sure they don’t leave the state.”

I think the cost of the gas they’d need to leave takes care of that!

Exxon (Enco) drilled a lot of exploration wells in the 70s. They found lots of oil off the coast of Santa Barbara. Cal ordered them to cap the wells and go away.

I moved to CA in 1973 (even though I had a field engineering job, my home base was San Fran and I was in the Bay Area a lot). Moved to the Peninsula in 1978 after I quit traveling.

I remember well the Santa Barbara oil spill and the insanity that followed. I also remember tar on my feet when I was 3 or 4 years old and we were living in LA for a short while. All the natural oil seeps from the ocean floor made a real mess on the beaches. The leftists used the “blight” of the offshore oil rigs (as well as dangers of oil spills) to ban offshore drilling.

Nothing highlights the hypocrisy of the left than their embrace of windmills offshore...THOUSANDS of windmills despoiling the ocean vistas.
