BOGOTA, March 8 (Reuters) - Colombians were heading to the polls on Sunday to elect a new Congress and choose three of the presidential candidates who will contest elections this May, a vote that will shape the next president's ability to push through legislation and fulfill their agenda.
Voters will choose from over 3,000 candidates to fill 102 Senate seats and 182 House seats, in an election analysts predict will be divided among some two dozen parties, likely forcing the next president to form a coalition government.

President Gustavo Petro, whose term ends in August, has repeatedly questioned the software that will be used for the vote count in the elections, alleging possible irregularities, while National Registrar Hernan Penagos has guaranteed the transparency of the vote and said party observers can verify the software's results.

Be a Colombian citizen by birth or naturalization, aged 18 or older.
Have a valid Colombian National ID (cédula de ciudadanía), which is required for identification at the polling place. The physical yellow cédula with holograms or its authorized digital version is accepted; other documents like a passport are not valid.
Be registered at the municipal level with the National Civil Registry (Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil).
Not be a member of the military or police forces.
Not be convicted of a felony

I wish the idiots south of the border would stop having “elections”. They continually elect Socialists and Communists which causes them to have to run like cowardly RATS to the U.S. borders to hide behind the gringos and Old Glory so the Cartels don’t murder them or their infant babies.
