The revisions here were bad as well. The prior 2 months scaled back 75,000 jobs

Yep, but right now the rising price of oil is the bigger problem for the markets.

You can go to TheLayoff.com and do a search on pretty much any company and get the inside skinny on why this is happening. What you'll see as an excuse is AI - artificial intelligence, but in actuality is AI - Always Indians.
Trump has done banner work in controlling the border, but has utterly failed Americans in the areas of H1B and offshoring. (Why aren't there tariffs on profits generated via un-American workers?). When it comes to this issue, Trump is MALA.

The H1B program should be done, ended, and permanently shuttered.

180k jobs created in the whole of 2025. It’s a horrific number and none dare say it. And now the jobs numbers are falling. The whole tariff debacle has been a disaster for prices and the economy on the whole. And still the emperor is fully clothed and impeccably dressed.

I’ve been sitting on way too much cash. This is an opportunity to get back in at some more sane prices.

"180k jobs created in the whole of 2025"
It has been fashionable for financial analysts to say we have a "low hire, low fire" economy.
I think one part of that equation is about ready to end.

How much of this is due to bad weather?
And were the unemployment numbers pumped up due to government employment.

How much of this is because the previous administration pumped up the employment numbers with gov jobs?
To: kaktuskid
A lot. February was terrible. The Spring and Summer will tell the tale. Tax Cuts will hit now.

"Yep, but right now the rising price of oil is the bigger problem for the markets. Yeah but do you measure the health of the economy in balance sheet market value or by jobs and prosperity on main street. As a Trump voter, is it fair to ask when are the huge deals brokered by Trump going to break dirt and create jobs?
