The White House said on Wednesday that Spain has agreed to cooperate with the US military against Iran after President Donald Trump threatened to cut off trade, but Spain denied making such a deal.
Trump on Tuesday had vowed to sever trade with Madrid over its stance against the US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Asked about the issue on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said she had been told that Spain had relented.

“I think they heard the president’s message yesterday loud and clear. It is my understanding over the past several hours they’ve agreed to cooperate with the US military,” Leavitt told a news briefing.

Could be true.
This is kind of part and partial for dealing with the Euro trash and the Gulf states for the last 50 years. They will make loud PR splashes about opposing the US all the while they will quietly be cooperating with the US Military. This way they get to be on both sides at the same time.
Trump is forcing Spain to admit quite loudly, that they do not support most of the world in taking down a terrorist state. Just like he forced Democrats to admit that they protect illegals more than u.s. citizens.
IMHO
One thing I learned from working in Spain and Mexico, Portugal..they are incompetent in general relative to us. So mixed messaging is par favor the course.
