Louisville, KY—The recent lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against Aid Access and its operators further validates the urgency facing Kentucky.
The Texas Attorney General has taken legal action against Aid Access GmbH, Aid Access B.V., and associated individuals operating an international abortion-by-mail enterprise that allegedly ships abortion-inducing drugs into Texas in direct defiance of state law.
Kentucky is confronting similar aggressive and intentional targeting.
Kentucky Right to Life has spoken out, and we will continue to highlight entities such as Aid Access, ABUZZ, Safe Choice, and AbortionFinder who actively market abortion-inducing drugs to Kentucky girls and women through digital platforms — including social media channels like Snapchat and other online media. These campaigns are designed to bypass our state laws and safeguards, presenting abortion pills as simple, private, and consequence-free.
House Bill 646 — Kentucky Right to Life’s priority legislation for 2026 — aims to strengthen current law by increasing felony penalties under a clarified classification of “trafficking in pharmaceuticals” intended to terminate life. The bill directly addresses the illegal supply chain of abortion-inducing drugs entering our Commonwealth.
Last week, we again hosted a press conference joined by HB 646 bill sponsors and several members of the Kentucky House and Senate. We shared with the media the same documented evidence we have publicly presented and provided to the Kentucky Attorney General’s office and members of the Kentucky House and Senate regarding these aggressive marketing efforts targeting our daughters and granddaughters online.
The Texas case demonstrates that states must act when international and out-of-state entities attempt to override duly enacted protections.
Kentucky cannot afford to wait.
HB 646 is necessary to uphold the rule of law, protect women from unregulated pharmaceutical trafficking, and ensure that those who intentionally violate Kentucky statutes face meaningful consequences.
The urgency is clear. The evidence is documented. The responsibility to act rests here in Kentucky.
