Naval Air Station Pensacola (NAS) closed its gates to the public after a man ran onto the base after beaching his vessel nearby, according to police dispatch audio.
Residents who live near the base - home of the Navy's Blue Angels - reported hearing alerts on speakers, including: 'Potential threat to the installation.'
NAS Pensacola said: 'Both gates to the base are currently closed. Additionally, gates to NAS Pensacola's Corry Station Annex are closed.'
The base declined to provide further details, but locals claimed on social media that it is under lockdown.

Lucky someone isn’t picking up pieces of his body right now.
Not a good time to crash into a US Military base unannounced.
Shoot on site!
End of problem!!
Remove the terrorist in pieces.

They shouldn’t have even bothered.
Although disregarded there’s a woman on NewsMax who listed possibilities of the harm during Dem funding cutoffs in lockdown. One was Coast Guard being on stripped down alert status and another was airport security too low, with these and other reductions monitored by Chinese, Arab terrorists and other bad actors. Thanks, Dem traitors.
