The American Spectator has been one of my favorite hard copy publications for decades. The online content is just as good. While I still receive that hardcopy, I check the American Spectator website daily. For those of you new to it, R. Emmett Tyrrell has written many books, all worth reading.

Yes, she dug a really deep hole for herself, after the other idiotic statements showing she is dumb. But to make mistakes like this, shows she is a terrible liar as well. Know not just when, but where to lie within an audience you hope will follow you.

The only thing AOC has going for her is a reasonably attractive youthful face which lends her a modicum of charisma. Once the youthful face disappears with age, her charisma will go with it. She has nothing else to offer.

Now that AOC and Whitmer have shown their foreign policy expertise, how can the Democratic Party deny them the nomination in 2028? The only question will be which one gets the top spot. Maybe Whitmer because she is older.
Here’s my opinion, since you didn’t ask for it.
This country has a lot of stupid people. In fact, it has reached a critical mass. Also, the media have a lot of gullible others, who are not necessarily stupid but tend to believe what authoritative-looking people say, in their thrall.
This trend cannot be reversed. First, stupid people will remain stupid despite efforts, money, and other measures. Second, the leftist media control nearly all of the commanding heights and can influence lazy thinkers without much effort.
We’re heading for socialism like it or not.
