Biden’s ‘quiet amnesty’ for nearly 1 million illegal immigrants

President Joe Biden not only allowed 6 million to 10 million illegal aliens to walk across the border during his term — he also granted a “quiet amnesty” to nearly 1 million.

We’re only learning this now, as the Department of Justice revealed Biden officials improperly “terminated,” “dismissed” or “closed” that many cases before the nation’s immigration tribunals.

The tool for this deception was the DOJ’s Executive Office for Immigration Review — “EOIR,” pronounced like Winnie the Pooh’s sad donkey friend — which oversees deportation cases.

Under Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the Biden administration used EOIR to manipulate removal hearings, tanking pending cases in the name of “prosecutorial discretion.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tracked this scam, and in October 2024, his staff issued a report revealing that “more than 700,000 illegal aliens have had their cases dismissed, terminated, or administratively closed” under Biden, which “allowed those aliens to stay in the country indefinitely without facing immigration consequences.”

Why is this called “quiet amnesty”? It was illegal and a violation of law and the Constitution. Biden had no power to do this. It needs to be reversed to the extent possible. And it was a lot more than 1 million.

While I sympathize with your rage I think you are focusing your anger on the wrong target.

For at least the final two years of the Biden regime the throne was vacant due to Biden’s mental deterioration.

As a consequence of this leadership vacuum the secretaries were likely on their own to shape policy. Some say Obama took the reigns.

However it was done it was done from the top and there is where you start to ferret out the blame and the mete out justice.

The Justice Department needs to issue search warrants for Alejandro Mayorkas and his immediate subordinates.

Determine how this policy was developed and who was responsible for implementation.

These people need to be shown that justice has a long reach and can find them.

People like Mayorkas believe they are insulated by their positions and need to be shown they are exposed and vulnerable.

Presumably, these adjudications were done in deportation actions that almost certainly were initiated by the Biden administration itself. Why? So they could enter an order of dismissal that could be raised in any subsequent deportation hearing.

This is a tactic reminiscent of the scam Democrats used in bringing civil rights complaints against cities and then entering into contrived settlement agreements which were rubber stamped by left-wing judges, thus imposing regulations without slightest participation of democracy.

The question for these dismissals in the administrative deportation hearings is whether they will be considered to be adjudications with prejudice, i.e., in effect, protection against double jeopardy. To some degree that will depend on the political inclinations of some dubious District Court Judges until the matter can get into the appellate level. By that time, Trump might be long gone.
