House Democrats are facing increasingly frustrated demands from their left flank not to give the Trump administration another inch on ICE funding.

The Radical Left will accept nothing less than the abolition of ICE.
I hope they drive their party and their office holders to that position and the sooner the better.
I would be as happy as a pig in sh!t if that were the crux issue in the mid terms.
Senate needs to put up a bill to pay Coast Guard, Air Controllers, and TSA everyday. Let the Rats take their money away. Let them explain to the people why ATCs shouldn’t be paid over ICE disputes
Iread thatICE has been funded out to 2029 and that it has not slowed it’s enforcement at all. It’s the other agencies that will suffer. Regardless, MAGA folks are watching to ensure ICE and other enforcement agencies are funded and sent back out to do their good work.
The radical left (is there really any other kind of "left"?) will accept nothing less than the abolition of these United States of America.

The issue is never the issue. The issue is always The Revolution.
ICE operations are unlikely to halt even if funding lapses, because the agency received $75 billion in long-term funding through the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” passed in 2025. This money is available through 2029 and exists outside the annual appropriations process, allowing ICE to continue operations for years without additional congressional funding.

Multiple vehicles reportedly belong to “Rabid Responders” who collided with ICE. Waiting on official confirmation from DHS.
This is the direct cost of playing FAFO with federal agents.
They should tell the “far left flank” to get just “get lost” - it would be good for them in the long run and certainly for the country in both the short and long term.

Dem mayor of El Paso threw a fit over shutting down his air space for less than a day without notice. Wonder what he’ll say if his party shuts down the whole national air space by not funding ATCs and TSA?

I think they know. They want to condition funding of other stuff that is not already appropriated on clawing back ICE money or putting conditions on ICE that make it impossible to deport criminals, rapists, pedophiles and gangsters.

The secret is, they are the far left flank. Remember, Biden was a moderate D who promised return to normalcy and headed by far the most radical administration in American history.
The only difference between moderate D’s and the far left flank is honesty. The far left flank is honest about what they will do when they get power.
Trump just has to stick in there. I thought I might have heard the number deported so far around 700,000. Not including the self deportations and reluctance in general to cross the border.
