Bernie Sanders has made a name for himself as Congress' resident cranky commie. He likes to pretend he's a man of the people and champion of the working class, but the reality is he owns three houses and likes capitalism when he's selling his latest book. He's also a raging hypocrite who lectures us about the dangers of climate change and the "oligarchy" while he jets around the country on a private aircraft.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who crisscrossed the country last year on a Fighting Oligarchy tour with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., spent over $550,000 in 2025 on private jet travel for himself using campaign funds, a Fox News Digital review of Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings found.
The majority of the spending came in the first two quarters, which cover up until July. That is also when Sanders and AOC had the majority of their tour stops across the country.
In April, between stops on the tour, Fox News Digital exclusively obtained a photo of Sanders boarding a luxury Bombardier Challenger private jet at the Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield, California. The source also indicated seeing the New York congresswoman boarding the private jet as well.
Last year, when he faced heat for flying private, Sanders said he would not apologize and that he was too important to fly commercial.
“When was the last time you saw Donald Trump during the campaign mode at a national airport?” he asked on Fox News. “You run a campaign and your do three or four or five rallies in a week. The only way you can get around to talk to 30,000 people.”

I have seen more than one news clip of Sanders defiantly, nastily saying “I owe no one an apology. No one for that.”
About his luxury mansions, high bank account, trips and other things. He acts like any lowly servant of the socialist elite like himself is owed no apologies.
Vermont voted for his re-election. The majority likes him.
71.1% win in 2012. 67.3 2018 win. 63.16 % victory in 2024.

Meaning MORE people are moving out of VT than people moving in. VT is a low population state to begin with. Around 800K.
They have more cows than people.
It has become a problem for the ski area industry.
So much so that most of them have work force housing.
I was at Jay Peak just prior to Christmas. They had temp employees from the Caribbean, Alaska, Italy working at the ski resort. It was weird to here people on the shuttle bus speaking Italian.
This is a problem of a lot of seasonal(Part Time)employers.
There are not enough local people to run a business from November though April. Then they do not need that many people the rest of the year.

Visas for six months. Once the ski season is over, time for them to go home.
I imagine some will just go to Cape Cod or the Vineyard and work at the hotels/restaurants for the Summer Season. Lots of foreign kids at the Hotel I stay at on Cape Cod, Irish was big a couple years ago along with other nationalities.
Apparently it was worth every penny because from this winter we could say he won the battle. The climate is very much 19th century in most of the country. Okay some work remains to be done in Oregon where it’s 70 degrees on the coast.

That is what most are.
Here on a work Visa.
A lot are college students from South America.
Lots of kids from Brazil who are willing to work on the mountain in the morning and bus tables at night.
I have also met young people from South Africa that said they were on summer break.
The shuttle bus driver said she was here with her husband from Alaska. In the summer months they both were busy drivers taking tourists up to Denali.
They came to VT because they both have CDLs.
She was driving the shuttle bus.
Her husband was driving some large truck.
