One of the more horrible aspects of the mass illegal immigration that was allowed to fester under the presidency of Joe Biden and whoever was running the autopen was the number of unaccompanied illegal alien children that went missing. Most estimates place the number at 300,000. Until recently, we didn't know what had become of those children.
Now, we have nearly half of them back. On Friday, Border Czar Tom "The Hammer" Homan took a few moments off from staring down ICE protestors in Minneapolis to take note of this on his official X account.
The dedicated, talented, and compassionate men and women of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Office of Refugee Resettlement at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services continue to tirelessly to run down hundreds of…— Thomas D. The post continues:
...to tirelessly to run down hundreds of thousands of leads and work numerous investigations to locate more than 300,000 unaccompanied alien children that the Biden Administration turned over to unvetted sponsors, lost track of, and weren’t looking forward. Through their outstanding efforts, they have so far been able to locate more than 145,000!
President Trump promised that we would find these children, and under his strong leadership and with his unwavering support, the patriots at these, and other partner, agencies have been—and will continue to do—just that.
Mr. Homan doesn't mention what these kids may have been doing when they were found, and that may be for the best.
Here's the thing: Civilized people don't exploit children; they protect them. Civilized people don't traffick children, taken away (or more horribly, given away) by their parents. The Department of Homeland Security, the Border Patrol, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have found not quite half of the expected number of lost kids, and with any luck and a lot of dogged determination, they'll find the rest.
Meanwhile, anti-ICE nutbars, shouting and waving signs, are opposing this effort. They are, in effect, supporting the trafficking of children. They are, in effect, supporting the exploitation of children, for purposes that don't bear contemplation.
How did we get to this sad state of affairs? We might note, yet again, that millions entered during the four years of the Biden administration's non-enforcement of the borders. Many children entered, accompanied and unaccompanied. Only a cursory effort, if even that, was made to determine which kids belonged to which adults. As with the adults, we don't know where many of these kids are or where they are being forced to do. But we're finding out, thanks to the efforts of Tom Homan and the men and women working for him.
Need any more reminders of what a joke the Biden presidency was? Need another good reason to go vote this fall? This is the work of years. It's amazing what the administration has accomplished in one year. 145,000 kids, now safe from whatever fate awaited them. That wouldn't have happened under a Kamala Harris presidency.

I hope Homan gets a ‘shout out’ at the SOTU address. And President Trump should remind the crowd he was previously honored by Obama.
Congrats to Tom Homan and all his officers.
Not one word from the left about the horrors Biden inflicted
on the nation and the “immigrants” he encouraged to come in.
What happens to the kids now? Do the youngest ones even know from what countries they came?
So what are are we to do with these illegals? Return them home where they belong, for cryin’ out loud. surely, they have parents to return home to, or at least some of them have.
