Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) called for an investigation Friday into a deal that saw TikTok’s American business spun off into a separate entity in order to allow the app to continue operating in the U.S.
The deal was finalized Thursday, with TikTok announcing it had officially established the new U.S. venture.
“After over a year of Donald Trump illegally extending the TikTok deadline, this TikTok deal raises many more questions than answers,” Markey said in a statement. “Despite my repeated requests for information, the White House has provided virtually no details about this agreement, including whether TikTok’s algorithm is truly free of Chinese influence.”

The deal needs a lot more public transparency.
Lack of transparency can make the right deal seem shady, and believed to be shady until the light of day falls on it.

The usual, and appropriate, thinking is if a “deal” has no issues it is transparency that gets public acceptance.
This is HUGE because this allows Trump to bypass the narrative by the MSM.

Democrats wanted to control Tik Tok and if they couldn’t control it they’d rather have the Chicoms still in control than someone that is pro-MAGA.

I would assume due to the Take-over the bulletin boards on TikTok are not allowing creators to post. Accounts are either shadow banned or disappearing.
The free exchange of ideas and freedom of speech is too dangerous for us, as deemed by my lizard overlords in DC.
