Six months after Palm Beach County commissioners voted 7-0 to rename a stretch of Southern Boulevard after President Donald Trump, a dedication ceremony for the formal name change will take place today.
President Trump is expected to attend the ceremony today at Mar-a-Lago at 3:15 p.m., when the segment of Southern Boulevard between Kirk Road and South Ocean Boulevard — covering the highly visible route from Palm Beach International Airport to Mar-a-Lago.
The name change, backed by legislation signed last year by Gov. Ron DeSantis, sparked heated public comment but ultimately passed with a 7–0 vote.
In the days after the vote last July, Palm Beach County drivers scrolling through Google Maps may have done a double-take when a familiar roadway suddenly carried a new name, "President Donald J. Trump Boulevard."
The board also approved a separate honorary designation for PBSO Motorman Highway, which honors three Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies who died in motorcycle crashes while on duty. I am a huge fan of Donald Trump. But I am not a fan of naming a street, a building, or a ship after any living person.
We are a republic, not a monarchy.
But I suppose I could make an exception if they wanted to name something important after me.
😀
And the lefties are melting down as usual.
I hope cameras are going to get installed because that stretch is going to be nuclear level prog bait.

Which is exactly why we love it. Go Trump.
HAHAHA. I love it. Let the democrats cry and wail. They can shut up. Obama had hundreds of things named after him while in office. Schools, streets, buildings, “community centers.”
Visited my old stomping grounds in San Jose. At least i can report that Barack Obama Blvd is a minor side street near the hockey arena. A three or four story tall mural of Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a little harder to digest
Knox County TN has streets named after Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan.
About 10+ miles N is, “Barack Obama Drive” in Riviera Beach. PB also has roads named for Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Jack Nicklaus, Hank Aaron, and Ester Rolle (although that may actually be in Broward)
