Iran issued a direct assassination threat against President Donald Trump on Wednesday, airing a chilling image on state television showing Trump during the 2024 rally shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, with the warning: "This time it will not miss the target."
The image, broadcast on Iran's Islamic Republic state television, marks Tehran's most explicit threat yet against Trump and comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and the Iranian regime.
The threat follows repeated warnings from Trump that the United States would take action if Tehran continues its violent crackdown on anti-government protesters.
The graphic reportedly originated at a pro-regime rally in Iran and showed a bloodied image of Trump taken from the aftermath of the Butler assassination attempt, when gunman Thomas Crooks shot Trump in the ear during a campaign event.
The rally footage aired despite widespread government-imposed blackouts across Iran aimed at suppressing coverage of ongoing nationwide protests.
Iran has previously issued threats against Trump.
In 2022, the regime released a video depicting a simulated assassination attempt on Trump at his Mar-a-Lago golf course ahead of the 2024 election.
That video resurfaced after the arrest of Ryan Routh, who was taken into custody while allegedly attempting to target Trump at the same golf course.
The Justice Department has also confirmed that U.S. authorities disrupted an Iranian-linked assassination plot in 2024. According to court documents, Farhad Shakeri was arrested after allegedly being tasked by Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps with assassinating Trump on behalf of the regime.

Just to trigger everyone, the threat should be communicated as a nuclear response if they succeed.
The FO part will be terrifying for the IRGC and the “mullahs.”

So similar to the American version of terrorists who make their threats, taking their cues from the attitudes and inflammatory speeches of Maxine Waters, Bennie Thompson, Gavin Newsom, Al Green, JB Pritzker, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Mayor Brandon John, Tim Walz and last but not to be overlooked: the despicable mama’s little boy, nerdy, socialist, America hating Jacob Frey.
If, God forbid, something terrible happens after the Iranian threat to Trump, let’s please remember all those names.
Ummm, prolly not a good idea there Mr. Khamenei. The Donald has a tendency to take these things personally. Ask that guy from Venezuela. All he did was mock the Donald’s dance routine.

Trump seems to be backing away from helping Freedom Fighters in Iran.
My bet is Trump’s trying to get the Abraham Accord nations to have a more active role in helping the freedom fighters in Iran. Just like he’s been trying to get Europe (especially the Nordic nations) to have a more active role in protecting Greenland from China and Russia.
The Iranian seems to be taking credit for being supportive of the plan and the shooting itself. It’s stupidly arrogant otherwise. Is every anti-American Dem riot against ICE in the sanctuary cities also supported and armed by Iran? So is Iran behind a lot of woke action in the US?
Is that why last weekend a lot of Dems made statements of how they now hate Hamas, for the first time?

I don't know if Iran has managed to arm many Ayatollah supporters in the US, I suspect not many.
President Trump seems to often look for coalitions to support the dis-empowerment of Ayatollahs and Mullahs.
Just drone the ayatollahs in response.
