Interview with Mahyar Tousi.
Some important and worrying news:
The regime has been able to shut down the Internet in Iran. Only Starlink open for posting videos and other news.
The police has been retracted from the streets. Instead the regime has sent out the military.
Very large demonstrations expected tonight.
According to M Tousi on the few videos that now have reached the West lots of shooting.

It was the young people who took down the Shah I say let them take down the Mullahs too. We can assist the protesters but other than that leave them to take care of it. If we were to attack Iran we risk the chance that they will instead rally around the government.

What did I sign up for?
THAT IS FUNNY-—
Tousi is basically of the same opinion as you are. If foreign actors are to help the demonstrators it would have to be a “Venezuelan operation”, but most likely the Ayatollah will stay well hidden.
Israel and the US could support the opposition to circumvent the Internet shut down (Starlink kits) and possibly weapons.
I believe that the reaction we would have is the similar as we saw in Venezuela. Most Iranians are muslim but they HATE the regime and would cheer us on exactly the same.
With all the inflation, drought, and oppression going on there getting rid of the theocracy and strict interpretation of sharia law that they are forced to live under watching it get taken out would be a blessing.
I want to see a Persianpalooza of people doing the Trump dance to “YMCA” on Trump Street ... and I want to see it soon. :)
On top of his other additional duties, Marco Rubio is rumored to be preparing to become the President of Venezuela, Governor of Cuba, and Shah of Iran.
“If we were to attack Iran ... “
We did last year.
I agree! :-)
Well I was referring to regime change and nation building. I don’t want any more of that. Way too expensive and we never wind up achieving any beneficial results from such interventions. See Iraq and Afghanistan for examples.
Marco Rubio@marcorubio
I do not normally respond to online rumors but feel the need to do so at this moment
I will not be a candidate for the currently vacant HC and GM positions with the Miami Dolphins.
While you never know what the future may bring right now my focus must remain on global events and also the precious archives of the United States of America.
Thank you

Was that really Marco? LOL! That’s hillarious.
From what I’ve seen over there it is obvious the younger generation of Iranians are secular and greatly resent being under the thumb of an Islamic government. If the Mullahs are stupid and desperate enough to sic the army on them then they are just asking for a revolution. So assist the protesters but don’t be in a rush to attack again. Quite frankly the last bombing did little to undermine Iran’s nuclear program anyway. It doesn’t take much effort to replace the centrifuges we might have blown up. Bombing Iran’s nuclear reactors would definitely result in Iran doing the same to Israel’s nuclear reactors which is why they were spared last time around. That and Russian technicians were still there assisting in the building of another reactor and we didn’t want to involve them in this.
I agree with you but would prefer we sit back and see if the Iranians can accomplish that on their own. Along with a little under the table help from the US.
“China hopes the Iranian government and people can overcome current difficulties to maintain national stability,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian told reporters in Beijing.
He added that Beijing “stands firmly against external interference in the internal affairs of Iran.”
“We call on all parties to do more things for peace and stability in the Middle East,” Lin said, stressing that China will work to “uphold UN Charter and international fairness and justice.”
Lin added that “China upholds the foreign policy of partnership and not alliance,” referring to Iran and China’s 25-year Comprehensive Strategic Partnership agreement signed in 2021.
Appears to be Marco’s personal account w/blue checkmark
Obviously he’s aware of the many “new position memes” of him.
Iran is about 95% Shiite muslim.
That includes university students.
When the current head guy of the Shiite religion dies, he’ll be replaced by the next in line and the populace would not want it any other way.
Oh and btw, Starlink is plenty. If the streets of Teheran were completely filled with opponents to Shiite rule, meaning the 5%, they would be rolled over by the 95%. And we would see videos of this.
Starlink is plenty to see such an uprising. The fact we don’t see it means what? It means it’s not happening. The 95% do not want anything but Shiite rule.
