A federal appeals court ruled Friday that California’s open carry ban in most parts of the state infringes on the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel voted 2-1 that the ban runs afoul of the Supreme Court’s expanded Second Amendment test, which requires gun control measures be consistent with the nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.

U.S. Circuit Judge Lawrence VanDyke, writing for the majority, said it was a straightforward case since open carry wasn’t banned at the nation’s founding...

When is a court going to strike down CA’s ban on magazine’s with a capacity greater than 10? And their BS ban on Glocks? And...never mind, once you start on the list of CA gun bans it’s a week long thing.

The ruling only overturned the ban for most of the state because the ban only applied to most of the state.

Open carry was already legal in counties of less than 200,000.

Their magazine ban was placed on HOLD for a few weeks a few years back. When done the magazine companies flooded California with high cap magazines.
My favorite is the PMAG D-50 which looks like they are giving California the “finger”.

Well, until the *entire* ANTI-GUN 9th Circus votes similarly, this decision by a 3-judge panel doesn’t mean anything for the long-term.

When is the GOP congress going to repeal 1934's NFA that sends Americans to prison for possession of a barrel 1/4" too short while every black gangbanger rolls around town with full auto Glocks?

Just sayin'

Gun owners have stalwartly supported the GOP for decades now. Just throw us a bone already!
