The now-infamous Quality “Learing” Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has reportedly been “trucking in” children following the release of citizen journalist Nick Shirley’s viral video alleging fraud.
The Quality “Learing” Center — which found itself at the center of national attention and mockery after Shirley’s video showed the facility misspelled “learning” on its sign — was “bustling” with children on Monday, with one resident telling the New York Post they “never” saw children “go in there until today.”
The local told the outlet that seeing children at the daycare center on Monday — just three days after Shirley shared his video saying he had uncovered $110 million in fraud — was “highly unusual,” as the area typically resembles a ghost town in which everything appears closed.
“We’ve never seen kids go in there until today,” the Minneapolis resident said. “That parking lot is empty all the time, and I was under the impression that place is permanently closed.”
The New York Post said it visited the daycare center on Monday, reporting the “busy parking lot” was “in stark contrast” to the local’s ghost town description, as well as Shirley’s video showing what appeared to be a closed-down facility.
In his video, Shirley knocked on the door to the Quality “Learing” Center to inquire about enrolling a child while a woman shouted, “Don’t open up! It’s ICE!” in the parking lot.

Watched Nick Shirley’s video on YouTube. It’s pretty damning. His buddy David seems to have been doing all the legwork for quite awhile. It seems the feds give the money to the states to administer and the state writes the checks with no oversight. Just didn’t do their job. To think their governor was up for the VP job.
Now that the kids are in the center I guess it’s time to move on.
They better put those kids on buses so they can shuttle them around dozens of day care centers every day.
This is like the classic shell game street scam.

A couple of days after the video, the place is packed with kids. Proof the video was disinformation! And then there’s the learing center that was broken into and had all its paperwork stolen. Just goes to show how pervasive the anti-Somali racism is in this country! /s

That was my first reaction. Seems like there’s a thread to follow up there - lower attendance in the public schools, classes smaller in size - where are the kids who used to be there? Also school buses and drivers - should be a wealth of information from them...where do they pick up the kids and where do they take them? When did they start or stop?
Maybe they were Learing from home and didn’t have to go in.
