The parole board of Massachusetts is set to release 39 "emerging adult" convicts imprisoned for murder who were given life without parole but have now become eligible after a court ruling. The ruling states that those between 18 and 20 at the time of their offense are "emerging adults" and are not permitted to be given life without parole.
Since the ruling was made last year by the state's Supreme Judicial Court, the board has greenlit the release of 39 first-degree murderers as well as those guilty of accessory to murder as they deny parole to 12 other inmates, according to the Boston Herald.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that it is unconstitutional for 18 to 20-year-olds to be given life without parole in the case of the Commonwealth v. Mattis. The ruling made it so that 200 inmates were given consideration for parole. After 51 decisions, there are still 159 convicts to go.

Some the convicts who were "emerging adults" include Allen Alston, now 47, who was convicted of murder in the killing a 56-year-old taxi driver and then fled to South Carolina. Alston was 19 at the time.
Roger Francis, now 78, was 20 when he shot and killed a 15-year-old, leaving the victim's body in the median of a highway. He has been given parole.

They all have PHD’s from Crime College, now.
If you are an adult, you are an adult. If you have the right to vote, you are subject to the laws that other adults are. Next you will have older criminals suing saying they are being discriminated against based on age.
Surety bonds must be taken out by each judge (personally) for $5 Million each release. They need some skin in the game besides ours.
18 - 20 they were adults
Mass officials better keep their killers in their own state. Nobody else wants them amongst them.
IF I were a LEO that has risked life and limb capturing these murderous basstids, I’d be pretty PO’ed about this BS.
Next time: “They were shot trying to escape” or some other BS charge, but they’d definitely would NOT ever live to make it to stand in front of any insane DEI so-called judge. Spit.
Demoncrats in blue states will do everything they can to create chaos and danger for US citizens..
Now watch every other blue state release all their murderers from prison.
Eventually, the law-abiding will begin taking matters into their own hands. We created a system of law so that sort of thing wouldn’t be necessary. But the system is failing to keep up even the appearance of serving its function. And woe betide our civilization.
Any crackers? Or all schwoogs?
So what is Mr. Francis going to do now? Go get a job sacking groceries at the supermarket? He's been totally institutionalized.
He's gonna be like Brooks Hatlen from Shawshank and probably end up the same way. Hanging from the rafters in a skid row apartment.
Or maybe he'll murder another kid in an effort to return to the only environment he knows how to function in?
They will have to use their own hands. Getting a permit for a weapon in MA is not easy.
Some are.
Can we federalize all crime to take it out of the hands of the States and Cities, and free it from Soros’ influence?
What part of ‘life without parole’ do these judges not understand? It is standard English, it means you never get out. The alternative was The DeathSentence. At least the victims should have been given a chance to weight in, that’s right, they’re dead! These Judges should be removed and barred from practicing or teaching law.
If you've noticed, the State is taking great measures to discourage this, often with draconian criminal charges against any citizen who dares to do what local district attorneys and judges refuse to do.
It's a big risk right now, but eventually we're going to see Latin American style of justice being meted out via the "3-S treatment" (shoot, shovel, STFU).
Indeed we can. And the best part is, we can use the liberals' favorite tool to do so. Civil Rights laws.
Start bringing federal civil rights violations against the Soros-bought DAs and judges for violating the civil rights of their constituents in their dereliction of duty.
It's just going to take the temerity to do so at the federal level. The ball would be in Pam Bondi's court and I'm increasingly unsure if she's right for the job.
My father fought in WW2 when he was 17/18 ....but these punks are too mmature to be punished for murders..to be held responsible.
This is why I scoff when folks say life without parole is as good as an execution.
Your naïveté is somewhat charming, but concerning. Your solution would have Obamaites and their minions blocking prosecutions of anyone except white males.
